The Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.
Running next generation 4-D circulation ocean models on supercomputer at varying resolutions and depth layers. Perform statistical analysis on results and determine improvements and algorithms for next generation model. This includes non-hydrostatic ocean models being used in research application in simulating highly convective flows and that are important for flows associated with high frequency internal waves.
Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.
Conducts logical analysis of management problems and developing multivariate analysis, linear modeling, and data mining. Uses computer technology, computer modeling, spreadsheet applications, software tools, and programming languages. Analyses data and conducts advanced statistical analyses and applies mathematical calculations. Presents findings and recommendations to appropriate groups and helps to determine what actionable steps can be taken based on the findings. Communicates and trains users on model results. Prepares written, non-technical reports to management, indicating analytical finding and models.
Requires Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain Interim Secret Clearance.
