Responsible for the administering, configuring, and deploying all backup and recovery solutions for the SAN. Designs backup solution and ensures backups are completed as scheduled. Manages all backup and recovery tools and systems. Assists in the deployment of backup strategies for all infrastructure components.
Design, build storage solutions and configure SAN switches in a virtualized, mission critical environment supporting large storage volumes
Supporting as lead/specialist on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Supporting hyper converged solutions
Lead a team of engineers supporting storage systems
Lead and guide the work of junior technical staff. Serve as liaison between PM and technical staff in all aspects of projects. Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage.
Fully engaged in the implementation of a DevOps system framework.
Support in a lead role on storage related projects involving on-premise and cloud
Responsible for operational availability of all the systems hosted on the infrastructure
Support planning and building infrastructure supporting COOP & DR plans
Support information assurance process in a technical role by complying with technical controls
Assist and mentor junior members on the team
10 years experience in backup administration support for large scale environments.
10 years experience installing and configuring backups
Working knowledge of advanced backup tools
10 years experience writing scripts with a scripting language
Familiarity with DevOps and ITIL processes
Familiarity with on-premise or Cloud to Cloud backup migrations
Working knowledge of data base backup and restore on NetBackup, Backup Exec, and VEEAM
