Responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements. Typical duties include analysis, planning, developing requirements documents, building functional models, developing procedures, developing functional architectures, and other related management and technical duties. Requires expertise in specialty area to include modeling and simulation, data analytics, operational research, statistics, optimization, astrodynamic algorithms, design of experiments, mathematical physics, military systems, and/or military operations.
THis effort will focus on Planning Support: The candidate Planning Lead shall coordinate the use of Operational and Campaign Models (Requirement 1) to conduct analyses of both reversible and irreversible threats to US and Friendly space systems to determine probabilities the space capabilities are available to support warfighting operations. Analysis should support GCC planning requirements on key mission threat threads, assist with identifying/defining potential threats to US/friendly space capabilities, and assist with identifying potential enemy space courses of action. Analysis shall also consider USSPACECOM MS&A needs by identifying national space M&S capability gaps and providing M&S support to JFSCC operations planning, exercises and wargames. Interfacing with key outside warfighting and analytic organizations will be critical to conducting planning support. Strong relationships with EUCOM planning personnel and deep experience with EUCOM planning processes will be valuable as SSDP and JFSCC begins focusing on their OPLAN development in 2019.
Minimum 15 yrs industry experience related to responsibilities. One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.
Master or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university. One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required experience.
