The focus of this Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) contract is to integrate new systems and services into Range and Network Division (RN) programs, gain support for new and on-going efforts in all phases of the acquisition life cycle and standardize systems engineering processes across the three programs.
RN, and its support organization, develop and sustain three diverse, independent programs, the Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN), the Launch and Test Range System (LTRS), and the Space Training Acquisition Office (STAO) with distinct, independent baselines, stakeholders, system functions, personnel, and sustainment and development contractors.
Work requires a Secret clearance.
The systems architect will perform the following tasks:
Assess proposals, changes, and modifications to the RN technical architectural baselines, including supporting data (e.g., trade studies, analysis, modeling & simulation)
Develop recommendations to the Government, impact statements, and potential mitigation strategies and courses of action that minimize technical and programmatic disruption and maintain/enhance capability.
Generate trade studies and technical analyses, as necessary.
Assess and present the allocated architecture products from sustainment and development contractors. Compare products to the functional architectures, track issues, and contribute to closure.
Assess and present the architectures of the as-is, to-be, and future technical baselines.
Generate Operations and Employment Concepts and associated scenarios as part of the technical baselines for each RN program and update to reflect substantial changes.
The successful candidate will be familiar with RN Integration Plans, RN Integration OIs, and the RN Program SEP
