Develop a training information system for a DOD client. Training system will provide a common operational picture of the training environment in 5 integrated capability areas: Training Development, Training Management, Training Enterprise Scheduling, Learning Content Management, and Training Resource Management. These capabilities will enable the DOD client in planning and preparing for operational, institutional and self-development training.
This position will serve as the senior technical member of a dynamic systems engineering test team supporting the DoD Client. The candidate will perform activities as the Systems Integration & Testing Engineer Senior Technical Specialist through integration and VV&T activities and readiness events and is required to have strong systems engineering background and significant testing / validation domain knowledge in the DoD IT mission performance area. The candidate will provide subject matter expertise to teams coordinating, establishing and assessing requirements, conops and architecture test activities, assessing system and segment schedule and risks, supporting release planning events in support of system and acquisition-level established milestones, and supporting agile test and devops verification strategies and integration of new systems and initiatives in support of the DoD Training Systems capabilities. Designs, develops, and implements test and evaluation strategies, plans and methods to assure delivery of ground systems meet system specifications and defined enterprise capabilities, and integrates system elements together so they work as a whole. Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for tracability and testability. The selected candidate will have the aptitude to assess processes and create efficiencies continuously, and may lead projects for systems team work, have frequent client interactions, and support system and mission strategy development across the various DoD Training Domains. The candidate will have daily interaction with the internal team and supporting contractors, and will need to follow customer standards and processes as the program matures through the life cycle. The Candidate will support technical consultation, meeting coordination, and support to recommendation briefings. This position requires an understanding of Systems Integration and Testing Engineering community and customer domain, along with a strong focus on core systems engineering processes in support of end-to-end mission and services closure.
Bachelors degree in computer science or information systems or relevant technical field
More than 10 years direct experience with systems testing of information systems and systems engineering, systems integration, Verification, Validation and Transition (VV&T) activities.
At least 3 years experience supporting agile test and devops verification strategies and integration of new systems and initiatives in support of expanded DoD mission capabilities.
Experience writing test strategies and plans, executing tests, analyzing data and summarizing results.
Knowledge of how performance testing is conducted and reported.
Experience leading and managing test resources.
Knowledge of enterprise-level applications, including ERP, Electronic Data Interchange, Customer Relations Management, data warehouses, etc. and ERP applications is preferred.
