The Workforce Development Subject Matter Expert will be an educator with experience developing and delivering curricula, using online, face-to-face, and blended learning environments. The SME will recognize how technology enables learning and should be dedicated to keeping up with innovations, research, theories, technologies, and trends in the education field. Serves as a Training Developer/Instructor to identify, develop, tailor, deploy, and provide cyber and/or security related training and will plan, develop, and assist in the implementation of cyber and/or security training programs for the account team and client. Successful candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills, experiment with new learning techniques and technologies, and seize new opportunities for enhancing learning. They must be able to juggle multiple projects, prioritize competing demands and work independently at times. This position assists in full curriculum development and course design/evaluation; contributes to the strategic direction on training issues for internal and external audiences; and prepares key briefings to management to support training requirements.
Assist in the development of content for the client training plan, which includes a robust set of training policies and processes that define:
Training module delivery methods and documentation of successful completion.
Method for assessment after completion of required training modules
Analyze training needs and requirements to develop new training courses/programs or modify and improve existing programs.
Collects training data for organization and FISMA requirements
Plan, develop, and provide training using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, online platforms, over the shoulder, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
Develop and organize effective training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials using a variety of media.
Support course design from inception to final product, specifically applying the principles of adult learning design for both synchronous and asynchronous learning.
Evaluate training performance and effectiveness of training programs, provide recommendations to leadership for improvement.
Monitor training evaluations and perform data analytics/metrics to ensure appropriate training solutions are provided and return on investment (ROI) is realized.
Development course evaluation procedures and conduct follow-up review of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
Coordinate, support, and ensure availability of facilitators, panelists, and guest instructors.
Draft and implement plans and timelines of major activities that must take place to host the various training courses, e.g. registration, printing materials, IT support, etc.
Responsible for continuous improvement of training content
Publish and maintain L&D announcements and communications and manage the scheduling, delivery, and completion tracking of training.
Build solid cross-functional relationships and maintain internal and external relationships
Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.
Must be able to translate broad training and field experience into specialized training courses.
Knowledge of information technology environment, and training development.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
High level of organizational skills; effective presentation skills must be comfortable in front of a group; excellent communications skills both orally and in writing able to express themselves clearly and concisely; team player willing to listen, learn, participate, challenge, contribute in a team environment; knowledge of instructional design process; ability to create computer-based training.
Demonstrates the ability to understand and translate business requirements and the system configuration/solution into training artifacts for implementation.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access) is required
