    Position summary

    Patient Solutions Lead – China Rare Disease BU

    ROLE SUMMARY:

    • This role will be responsible for patient solution strategies and initiatives development and execution, including to develop, advance, and execute the innovative platforms and solutions to increase disease awareness of rare diseases, to provide patient assistant solution & program, patient support solution & program, patient education solution & program and patient affordability improvement solution & program through partnership with 3rd party, Charitable Foundations, government, academic associations, patient groups, etc. Collaborate with access and cross-functions to leverage internal/external resources to improve patient affordability & accessibility at national & regional level.

    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and execute patient solution strategies and initiatives to support Rare Disease BU strategies.
    • Visit and engage related external stakeholders, partners to understand insights on patient solutions.
    • Collaborate medical, digital, legal, compliance and other cross-functions to develop, advance, and execute the innovative platforms and programs to increase disease awareness of rare diseases to fully align with Rare Disease BU strategy.
    • Collaborate medical, access, legal, compliance and other cross-functions to develop, advance, and execute the patient solutions to provide patient assistant program, patient support program, patient education program and patient affordability improvement program through partnership with 3rd party, Charitable Foundations, government, academic associations, patient groups, etc.
    • Collaborate with access and cross-functions to leveraging internal/external resources to improve patient affordability & accessibility at national & region level.
    • Coordinate external partners and internal stakeholders to deliver the programs ensuring strong engagement.
    • Organize online and offline patient education meetings partnering with 3rd party, Charitable Foundations, government, academic associations, patient groups, etc.
    • Conduct and monitor all patient solutions programs partnering with 3rd party, Charitable Foundations, government, academic associations, patient groups, etc. and make all decisions in accordance with Company policies & SOPs, Pfizer Values, & regulatory guidelines in a compliance way with highest integrity.
    • Analysis and insights for disease awareness and patient solutions are well understood and processed into the business plans.
    • Support market research program in terms of patient journey, patient insight, etc.
    • Liaise on patient insights/ resources as patient advocator, with possible solutions towards patient needs, and shape better state care and patient journey experience.
    • Build a high-performance patient solutions team, lead the team to execute patient affordability and accessibility improvement programs in a compliant way.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree required. Advance degree preferred, background in commercial, pharmaceutical or health care industry is preferred
    • 3-5 years commercial experience in healthcare industry.
    • Strategic thinking.
    • Experience in patient advocacy/engagement and stakeholder relationship management, esp. for patients, patient groups, provider organizations. Experience in RD area is preferred.
    • Ability to facilitate stakeholder & customer commitments and act on customer insights.
    • Ability to synthesize & communicate local customer insights for planning.
    • Demonstrated strong commitment to integrity & compliance.
    • Develops excellence and courage to initiate, create, and bring ambiguity into action.
    • Successful track record of navigating complex projects and influencing teams to deliver breakthrough.
    • Proven ability to proactively lead the thinking - connect, communicate, and lead by influence.
    • Effectively to implement strategies with internal/external stakeholders.
    • Active listening and empathy.
    • Skillful communication in English in oral and written.
