    Whether you are involved in the design and development of manufacturing processes for products or supporting maintenance and reliability, engineering is vital to making sure customers and patients have the medicines they need, when they need them. Working with our innovative engineering team, you'll help bring medicines to the world even faster by imagining what’s possible and taking action.

    What You Will Achieve

    Your technical skills will help us keep our plants, utility systems, buildings and equipment up and running. Pfizer will rely on you for maintenance, redesign, repair of utilities in our plants. In your role, you will undertake the necessary preventive and corrective steps for setting priorities, forecasting and allocating resources for the maintenance tasks.

    As an associate, your focus on the job will contribute in achieving project tasks and goals. Through your domain knowledge and commitment, you will create a collaborative teaming environment for your colleagues.

    How You Will Achieve It

    • Graduate / Diploma Engineer in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering/ Computer Engineering with specialization in Instrumentation
    • 2-6 yrs with practical experience in Calibration Activities
    • Good experience in equipment management and project management
    • Direct supervisory experience and understands knowledge management
    • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices {also cGMP} OSHA, Food and Drug Administration and environmental regulations applicable to the pharmaceutical Industry
    • Strong English speaking and writing skills
    • Good computer skills in Microsoft Office suite of products
    • Ensure all the Engineering equipment/ Instruments / systems are Qualified and maintained as per the Schedule of Calibration, Preventive Maintenance & Periodic Re-Qualification.
    • Review and approve SAT, IQ, OQ, IOQ, PQ, PRQ & PV protocols
    • Updating of drawings w.r.t changes in plant layout.
    • Review new concepts, communicate with vendors for new requirements and preparation and review of URS for new equipment
    • Execute FAT activity applicable to the new equipment
    • Ensure all the Engineering equipment/ Instruments / systems are Qualified and maintained as per the Schedule of Calibration, Preventive Maintenance & Periodic Re-Qualification.
    • Ensure Equipment is maintained in good condition and minimize downtime.
    • Coordinate with user to plan preventive maintenance and calibration program.
    • To do health check of the maintenance & calibration program adhering CMMS program schedules
    • Trending equipment failures / breakdowns and propose corrective actions
    • Carrying out modifications for improvement of the machine/ equipment performance
    • Study & review operations, to contribute substantially for energy conversation & productivity improvements.
    • To guide the team during breakdowns, trouble shooting and rectifying the basic causes in shortest possible time and also ensuring the data is captured in CMMS.
    • To take all possible steps to ensure that all safety instructions and measures are strictly followed.
    • Identify vendors for calibration and support for qualifying them.

    Qualifications

    Must-Have

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Experience in reliability based maintenance practices
    • Demonstrated ability to write and provide simple and accurate instructions
    • Demonstrated computer and technical skills
    • Effective problem solving capabilities
    • Excellent interpersonal communication and written skills

    Nice-to-Have

    • Knowledge or experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practices {also cGMP} environment
    • cGMP and GDP in pharmaceutical Industry
