    We are seeking a quick learner with a passion for technology to support the development, maintenance, and adoption of our shared component library. Our Design Engineering team is responsible for creating standard components that scale across multiple products, platforms, and end-to-end scenarios across the organization’s diverse portfolio of solutions. In this role you will collaborate with members of our agile teams, including UX designers, engineers, and product managers to help execute front-end technologies that deliver meaningful experiences to PGS and others across the organization. 

    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

    Under direct oversight, the UI Developer, Experience Design Engineering colleague’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Collaborate with Solution Engineers, Designers and Solution Owners to deliver compelling user-facing solutions
    • Contribute to iteratively developing fully functional prototypes based on stakeholder feedback
    • Contribute to developing new features and new components that evolve our Design System‘s coded library
    • Assist with translating functional requirement documents & design specifications into technical design implementations
    • Apply established patterns to prototypes and mockups to ensure consistency across solutions
    • Incorporate user-centered approaches into solution development processes
    • Participate in usability testing and design reviews
    • Participate in daily Agile meetings

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant field
    • Working knowledge of responsive UI, HTML, CSS, Javascript Frameworks, Git, and NPM
    • Familiarity with Single Page Application architecture
    • Ability to collaborate actively as part of a multi-disciplinary team 
    • Ability to communicate project risks and identify escalation paths  
    • Enthusiasm, patience, and a solutions-oriented attitude toward any risks and challenges 
    • Comfort with ambiguity and complex problems  
    • Organized and able to switch between different projects in a fast-paced environment 
    • Familiarity in emergent technologies and how to apply them to different business challenges 
    • Ability to confidently present work and to accept or provide constructive feedback 

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • UX, HFI, SAFe or equivalent certification highly desirable
    • Pharmaceutical or Manufacturing Industry experience a plus
    • 1-2 years related experience with Javascript frameworks such as Angular, React, or StencilJS
    • 1-2 years related experience working with Sass or Less frameworks
    • Familiarity with Web Design Tools such as Figma and Sketch
    • Familiarity with WCAG website compliance and accessibility needs
