    The Role:

    An excellent opportunity has become available for an Automation Project Support Engineer with relevant TechnicalProject Management experience to join the Grange Castle (GC) Automation Team. The ideal candidate would be someone with strong industry Automation system designbuild experience and the ability to support multiple internal projects simultaneously in collaboration with the core Automation team.

    Some Role Responsibilities

    • Act as a Point of contact for Automation within the Engineering small projects team.
    • The role will require generating all key technical inputs from the internal Automation SME’sstakeholders and then clearly communicating these requirements to the wider project teams.
    • Provide Input into User Required Specifications (URS) for Automation elements ensuring adherence to site Automation Specifications and standards.
    • Support project initiation and planning stages which includes project definition. Concept & preliminary design phases.
    • Support the scoping and costing for automation elements as part of the Capital Purchase Acquisitions (CPA) submissions.
    • Support project controls, reporting/planning as required within Automation and Engineering small projects team.
    • Coordinate project reviews internally with key stakeholder within Automation & customers.
    • Participating in and sign off of Design Reviews as required.
    • Coordinate internally within Automation to secure the support required for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
    • Support ERESDI Requirements reviews.
    • Assist in resourcing to support Commissioning & Qualification activities. System integratorsOEM relationship management.
    • Manage the project handover documentation process to the Automation sustaining team.

    Qualifications

    Must-Have

    • Degree in Electrical/Electronic or Chemical Engineering, or related field with substantial experience in this field.

    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant Automation experience working through early project scope definition, concept & preliminary design stages for Automation control systems in a GMP or regulated environment.

    • Strong Project coordination or management experience is desirable.

    • Strong familiarity with automation hardware and software requirements and computer systems lifecycle.

    • Strong technical background is essential for this role (PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA, DCS, GAMP (Good Automated Manufacturing Practice), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)). 

    • Good knowledge of ISA95 and ISA88, CFR (Code of Federal Regulation) Part 11, EU (European Union) Annex 11. 

    • Must be able to handle multiple projects concurrently and work in a team environment.

    • Strong Team Player with ability to develop relationships and work closely with a number of cross functional disciplines, both within and outside of the function and Organisation.

    • Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills with the ability to formulate thoughts in a clear and concise manner to provide clarity and path forward on any issues.

    • Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical & problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment

    • Strong Customer & Safety Focus.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Nice-to-Have

    • Master's degree. 
    • 6 Sigma Green belt certified.
    • Project Management Qualification (PMI, PRINCE).
