    About the role:
    In this platform position, the Bid Manager (BM) leads, plans, coordinates and executes the entire bid offer process (pre-peri and post processing) for Pfizer oligopolistic, competition and multi-source products, including reviews. The BM extensively leverages key information systems and works in Contract Management System (CMS), external bid systems (i.e. ZAGIS) and other post processing in financial / customer service systems and commercial dashboards.
    The BM also supports and contributes actively in preparation of price change requests and subsequent business cases.

    Main responsibilities:

    • Manages the end-to-end bid process. Contribute to driving Pfizer’s overall commercial success, revenue, and category growth in the Netherlands with end-to-end bid management. Carry responsibility for one-Pfizer Netherlands revenues and growth in his/her goals.

    • Coordinates the development and production of required deliverables and decision documents for the purpose of the quotations, thereby optimizing the probability of winning in relation to net turnover and IBT key performance indicators

    • Leads and prepares the commercial bids for healthcare institutions including all relevant hospitals, hospital procurement groups and healthcare insurers

    • Identifies opportunities, including innovative contract arrangements and pro-actively incorporates risk assessment, scenario planning and game theory thinking in decision making and final offers

    • Builds the Center of Excellence and capability building on contracting & tendering

    • Leads sessions on simulations, modelling and game theoretics to advance knowledge amongst Pfizer commercial colleagues 

    • Co-accountable with CBL/Drug Lead/CSMs for the Category’s RFP business cases for products that are subject to contracting or tendering by hospitals or health insurance companies

    • Collaborates intensively with H&V and Contract Business partner to develop and deploy innovative contracts

    • Provides (ad hoc) operational and tactical support to Vx & Hospital Category peer their needs

    • Understands and resolves complex technical, strategic and business issues as part of bid preparation process

    • Acts as One-Pfizer and ensures an one-Pfizer broad consistent writing style and outlook of the bids with correct references and error-free languages

    • Risk tracking and management throughout the bid process. Verifies that bids meet Pfizer internal legal and SOP requirements, and that all requested documentation has been properly supplied.

    • Ensures timescales are achieved at each step of the bid process, including all internal governance, while taking the initiative in setting realistic deadlines.

    • Co-ordinates and plan all customer presentations required as part of the bid submission.

    • Leads the transition to (partially) automated bid processing

    • Selects and evaluates 3rd parties to bring innovation within the Pfizer Contracting. Drive continuous improvement, through post-bid reviews, both internally and with customers

    • Manages the bid budget and monitor and report on overall performance against KPIs.

    About you:

    • Bachelor’s degree in economics, econometrics or equivalent and 5+ years of relevant working experience or

    • Master’s degree in economics, econometrics or equivalent and 3+ years of relevant working experience

    • Fluent in the Dutch language and good working language in English

    • Advanced experience & knowledge of Excel.

    • Advanced analytical and financial skills.

    • Demonstrates a profound knowledge of game theory thinking

    • Clear understanding of financial framework and dynamics customers are dealing with

    • Outstanding communications, interpersonal and (matrix) leadership skills

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills

    • Acts with integrity and respect

    • Strong business acumen

    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
