The Corporate Card and Travel Lead will be responsible for the overall governance and performance of Pfizer's global corporate travel program, enabling global meetings operations using infrastructure, technology, corporate policy – while driving performance, service, and cost management. This lead will also be responsible for the management of Pfizer’s corporate card partnerships and operations. This role requires a highly motivated individual with the capability to manage a global team responsible for $1B+ in travel, meeting, and entertainment spend and more than 400k annual transient travel transactions.
This role will manage a team of 5-10 colleagues. The role will work closely with regional Meetings, External Events, & Travel (MEET) Leads and will report directly to the Global MEET Operations Lead.
Corporate Card
Lead Pfizer’s corporate card operations, including Travel & Expense (T&E), Purchasing Card, and Meeting Card programs and outsourced resources. Design and execute program strategies, manage account and card controls, direct card application, issuance and closure, and partner with Financial Services for payments and reconciliation. Operationally direct Pfizer’s global corporate card issuer, American Express and other card products, and outsourced resources supporting the card programs
Lead the global process of collecting commissions from 9,000 hotels globally and over $10M in rebates earned through Pfizer’s travel and meetings activity
Partner with the global Corporate Card issuer to meet service levels, resolve service issues, and report progress
Participate in supplier selection activities; drive supply-based optimization for complex categories
Travel
Manage global corporate travel program of $370M globally; evaluate and monitor market conditions and adjust operational strategies accordingly
Provide direction to the global Travel Management Company on day-to-day issues, policy updates, process improvements, and industry changes
Design strategy and lead team to deliver and resolve travel customer service issues (agency, online bookings, hotel, air, rental car, rail, and car service)
Lead and review global online booking tool functionality and recommend adjustments to support global travel program and ease of use
Design and implement technologies and infrastructure to support travel and meetings, including both category-specific tools such as PT&E, Engage+, and Cvent, and enterprise technologies such as SAP, Ariba, Fuse, etc. Act as business owner, work with Pfizer Digital, ensure requirements and process changes are incorporated, oversee system access, and implement training for system users
Support the enhancement and ongoing maintenance of relevant policies and procedures, such as Corporate Policy 301 (T&E), US Field Force T&E SOP, and Corporate Policy 304 (Meetings and Events), and other policies that have travel and/or meetings aspects
Oversee user-facing Pfizer travel and meetings information and educational and informational content for Pfizer and Global Business Services (GBS) tools
Be recognized as an industry leader of the external travel and meetings industry
Enhance operations through data gathering, performance analysis, operational improvement efforts, and reporting dashboards
Develop strategies for risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management and operational efficiency
Benchmark external industry best practices and lead the adoption within Pfizer as applicable
Partner with the global Travel Management Companies and other suppliers to meet service levels, resolve service issues, and report progress
Work with external suppliers’ product management teams on future product enhancements, major upgrades, and new ancillary products
Stakeholder Engagement
Ability to present to executive leadership and manage relationships with stakeholders globally
Represent customer needs and comments to MEET Lead as appropriate
Present analytics and data on trends to MEET LT
People Management and Development and Financial Responsibilities
Develop high performing team of up to 10 to manage operations globally
Provide coaching and development for team members through structured process and tools including individual development plans and talent development

Basic Qualifications
10 years (9+ years with MBA/MS) of experience in management, travel, meetings, events, oversight of global accounts, and associated compliance controls (incl. audit and/or finance experience)
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline
Understanding and awareness of the technology landscape that supports MEET
Strong Vendor Management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management
Ability to lead and motivate others
Ability to lead a large team
Strong accounting, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Experience
Fluency in English is a must, additional languages preferred

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $141,200.00 to $0.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20.0% of the base salary. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Salary range does not apply to the Tampa, FL location.
