Working with our innovative engineering team, you'll help bring medicines to the world even faster by imagining what’s possible and taking action.

    What You Will Achieve

    Working with Pfizer’s dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical part in managing the maintenance and reliability engineering activities involving the redesign, maintenance, and repair of utilities systems, buildings, and production/non-production equipment.

    As a Senior Associate, your knowledge and skills will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the team.  Your ability to meet team targets will help in completing critical deliverables. Your innovative use of communication tools and techniques will facilitate in managing difficult issues and establishing consensus between teams.

    How You Will Achieve It

    The incumbent will be responsible for sitewide electrical system, equipment / instrument performance on establishing optimization in initiative and Right First Time Strategy / Technique to enhance equipment reliability in compliance with cGMP, EHS, Data Integrity and regulatory requirements in a cost effective manner.

    • Team performance and Development of Key SME.
    • E/I Equipment Failure and Root Cause Analysis
    • Uninterrupted E/I equipment and system operation
    • Uninterrupted Plant Electrical Power Supply
    • Plant Voltage dip and maintenance (include Safety) – Ensure adequate measures to sustain power dips.
    • Plant compliant to Power Regulation, Power Quality requirement, new PGE electrical Safe Practices and new codes/practices.
    • Condition Monitoring of Power System to prevent power trip.
    • Implementation, Execution, Commissioning/testing of new and obsolete E/I systems, equipment and instruments.
    • Site Electrical Safety Lead – Support Global Electrical Common Interest Group in term of Electrical Safety/System/Equipment.
    • Site Electrical Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Lead & Command Annual Electrical Blackout & Start-ups.
    • Improve E/I equipment performance / capabilities by conducting equipment/instrument design feasibility study and implementing improvement methods – to reduce downtime, minimize waste, optimize maintenance resources, improve maintenance methods.
    • Resolve E/I equipment performance issues by facilitating discussions (IRS, QAR, RFT initiative) with cross functional team to identify / define root cause the problem, evaluate alternative solutions, and develop action plans.
    • Recommend E/I equipment optimizing initiative by discussing operation needs or involving in new project installation / commissioning, HAZOP, PSSR activities.
    • Optimize E/I equipment maintainability by ensuring built in reliability during equipment/instrument design and installation phase to confirm the performance.
    • Improve reliability on equipment operating by coaching and promoting E/I equipment ownership, training operator on first line maintenance skill; E/I equipment operation/troubleshooting and PCS/PLC interface issues.
    • Maintain equipment / instrument integrity and company reputation by complying with government regulations and meeting Pfizer corporate guidelines.
    • Keep E/I equipment operational by coordinating case study, maintenance and repair services activities with vendor / contractor; following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures; requesting special services.
    • Utilize E/I equipment maintenance database in EAMS (computerized maintenance management system) to meet the maintenance and production operational needs, analyzing the data and trend in EAMS for decision-making and PM planning and scheduling.
    • Support Project team on special / urgent assigned projects to meet the requirement, schedule, budget target and as the interface contact person for engineering / maintenance resource.
    • Ownership of plant electrical HT / LT systems (Transformer / MV / LV / MCC / VFDs / UPS / Battery Chargers) by involving in installation of modifications, maintenance activities; Act as interface person to Singapore Power/ Power Grid; Establish electrical safety policies and procedures training to the E&I Team.
    • Achieve minimum disruptions to site operation through well planned and coordinated maintenance and shutdown activities with area owners.
    • Lead and Command the Annual Site Electrical Power Blackout Shutdown and Start-up sequence and ensure all planned and scheduled maintenance and upgrade activities were executed and completed with no safety incidents.
    • Participate and support global initiatives to share/learn best practices and implement improvements to achieve high equipment reliability and reduction in energy/water cost.
    • Establish electrical maintenance procedures/SOPs and good documentation system to ensure quality assurance operations.
    • Provide support and execute assigned Energy saving project.
    • Backup support to EAMS system in periodic review in calibration performance histories, frequencies and procedure.
    • Backup support to BMS system in periodic review of the plant MVAC requirement, historian and system optimization.
    • Maintain a safe and clean working environment on areas under one’s responsibility.
    • Complete all assigned training on-time and also prior to work execution.
    • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing desired results/KPIs.
    • Provide training (e.g SOJT) and coaching to colleagues to build-up their competencies.

    Qualifications

    Minimum 9 years for Diploma or 6 years for Degree in Electrical Engineering with relevant experiences in pharmaceutical, chemical or petrochemical industries.

    Other Job Related Requirements:

    • Good working knowledge of CMS application, CGMP, GMI strategies and PMO concept.
    • Knowledge of Reliability Maintenance, Right FirstTime technique and performance base. management.
    • Knowledge of utilities system operation and project management skill.
    • Experience in a large, global and complex organization would be an advantage.
    • Able to handle multiple projects concurrently and possess project management experience.
    • Able to influence stakeholders or Business Leaders and to build trust throughout the organization.
    • Demonstrated capability to thrive in a complex and matrix environment.
    • Able to work with ambiguity.
    • Excellent facilitation and communication skills.

    • Excellent Electrical Troubleshooting and Analytical skills.
    • Good Working Experience in leading & command sitewide plant electrical blackouts & start-ups.
