    Your in-depth knowledge and financial skills will keep our products in production and our innovators innovating.  Whether you are part of establishing, coordinating, researching, or administering financial operations, your role is critical to getting our medicines in the hands of the people who need them most, faster and more efficiently than ever before.

    What You Will Achieve

    Your accounting skills will help in analysis of financial information and preparing financial reports. You will maintain and oversee the accounts and financial records of the company.  As a manager, you will be responsible for preparing the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss statements, and other accounting schedules and reports. You will ensure the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures. Another important aspect of your role will be updating the journals, ledgers, and other records of financial business transactions as well as verify this data for accuracy and prepare reports and reviews based on it. You will also manage data entry activities in the accounting systems.

    Your breadth of knowledge on internal or external business challenges will help us improve our products, processes and services. Your will guide us to lead projects by meeting objectives and preparing forecasts for resource requirements. Your risk-taking ability will help us advance new concepts and methodologies. You will provide technical guidance and oversight to team members and help in problem solving.

    How You Will Achieve It

    • Understand business operations to be able to effectively interpret financial outcomes, identify issues, train colleagues and assist in driving change where necessary.
    • Manage multiple projects and ongoing work activities in the department typically involving cross-functional representatives.
    • Maintain complete and accurate standard operating procedures and Sarbanes-Oxley related internal control documentation.
    • Promote the use of preferred procurement methods and work closely with the sourcing team to identify areas of opportunity for savings.
    • Ensure compliance with Pfizer accounting policies and procedures both for center of excellence processes as well as the sites it supports.
    • Design team's Key Performance Indicators, monitor and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of execution of the team.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders on strategic projects and process improvements.
    • Research technical and operational accounting guidance and determine relevant application.
    • Lead global projects and/or cross functional initiatives that are in addition to existing role and responsibility.
    • Act as a final reviewer of country specific financial data and submissions to ensure accuracy, ensure business deliverables and financial deadlines are met.
    • Undertake full operational responsibility for functions, such as T&E (travel and entertainment expense) and others, to ensure all deliverables are successfully achieved.
    • Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and propose innovative solutions.

    Qualifications

    Must-Have

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • 5+ years’ experience
    • Strong people management experience
    • Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm and/or financial reporting capacity within a large multi-national company
    • Demonstrated project management experience
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

    Nice-to-Have

    • Master's degree
    • Relevant pharmaceutical experience
    • Strong business acumen and ability to translate business strategies into financial concepts/ processes
    • Strong leadership skills to lead and motivate teams
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Public accounting experience
    • Shared service experience
