    Position summary

    HOW WE IMPACT PATIENTS

    The role as External Communications and Public Affairs Manager is a key position in charge of communication and Public Affairs for Pfizer in Norway. The role will assist the company meet its ambition of a strong position in Norway and introduction of several new innovative treatments over the coming years.

    The role will work alongside with Corporate Affairs Senior Manager on assisting BU communications needs, development, and execution of Pfizer´s external communication, and Public Affairs activities.     HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

    The position includes the following responsibilities:

    • Develop communications and communications strategies for specific areas of the business, supporting them to achieve their goals in alignment with the overall priorities for Pfizer Norway and the external environment.
    • Develop and maintain website content, social media content and material for other internal and external channels.
    • Work alongside corporate affairs and business colleagues to develop and oversee the implementation of strategic communications programs that: support business and corporate priorities; shape the operating environment; and enhance our Norway reputation
    • Proactively identify environmental developments and integrate these into our communications activity, taking ownership for maximizing opportunities, minimizing threats and keeping our purpose front of mind
    • Media training: Coach key colleagues in media skills, interview training and external communication skills
    • Public Affairs: Stakeholder mapping and stakeholder management for Business unit needs, and operational execution of activities
    • Public Affairs: Support Corporate Affairs Senior Manager in developing Public Affairs plans and strategies for corporate profiling and relations 
    • Support Corporate Affairs Senior Manager in reactive media handling, proactive media outreach, crisis management training and arranging meetings and speaking opportunities.

    WHAT WE EXPECT

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, political science, business, law, or equivalent fields
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience with communications and/or Public Affairs, development of communications strategy and implementation
    • Knowledgeable on political structures and the Norwegian health systems
    • Experienced in media relations
    • Excellent people and project management skills
    • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communications skills
    • Excellent written and spoken Norwegian and English

    • Proactive, can-do attitude and ability to find solutions to challenges
    • Demonstrated ability to deliver under pressure in complex challenges
    • Highly developed people skills, and ability to engage with people at all levels
    • Well organized and ability to work autonomously
