    ROLE SUMMARY

    The External Supply Network Design & Performance (ESNDP) group works with a global stakeholder community to drive operational excellence, sourcing, strategy & business innovation for External Supply (ES).  The ES Operations Support Manager role will support the operations group in the execution and management of essential functions, the business program lead/OE Lead on special projects as well as leading process optimization within the Center of Excellence (CoE) team.  Primary role will be to lead issue resolution, cross functional coordination and identifying best practices.  Ideal candidates will have good organizational and communication skills and preferably good digital system knowledge.  Further, the individual must be detail oriented and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to respond to multiple, conflicting business needs with urgency and accuracy

    The position is an individual contributor role with leadership and engagement with cross functional internal colleagues and external partners (under direct oversight) as well as supporting talent development through mentorship within the CoE.

    • Manage cross functional coordination and oversight of CMO data collection to support business program lead/OE Lead special projects.  This includes developing a data collection system, managing the oversight of the CMO data collection and providing clear communication / reporting to meet the key project deliverables.

    • Manage and provide SME/Superuser support for key business systems including SAP, Taulia, BT On Demand, P2L.

    • Identify, design, and implement technology solutions / process improvements / best practices for support systems in conjunction with other support groups, projects, CMOs and vendors.

      • Support implementation of process changes and guidance to the VSOT, where required.

      • Documentation of processes where they are unclear.

    • Establish strong working relationships with the core support groups to ensure speedy resolution to system issues and assist the core groups with the implementation of new systems and upgrades within the business unit.

    • Identify, and manage, systems/process training requirements to provide a foundation for Right First Time transactions

    • Ability to engage and influence cross-functional team members, even without direct reporting relationships.  Support other colleagues within the Pfizer Refugee Talent program through onboarding, transition support and mentorship. 

    Cross functional support will include but not limited to invoice resolution, serialization communication coordination, Import / Export – sample shipments, resolving Get Support requests within External Supply, training compliance tracking, business communications as well as support requests for dashboard and other metrics and analytics in support of VSOTs.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Must-Have 

    • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain/Procurement, Management Information Systems, or Science.

    • 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or other regulated industry and external vendor/CMO management (depending on degree).

    • Project Management experience

    • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

    • Ability to develop solutions to complex problems which requires the use of ingenuity, innovation, and creativity.

    • Strong analytical skills; ability to understand business issues and processes

    • Ability to work independently and adaptable to work priorities in response to complex and rapidly changing environment

    • Understanding of commercial manufacturing requirements and operations

    • Strong business acumen with excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide variety of internal and external audiences, including senior Pfizer leadership and senior management from external organizations

    Nice to Haves

    • Experience working with PGS sites / operations, as well as enabling functions (i.e. Quality, Technical, Regulatory, Finance, etc.), managing and leading and/or sponsoring initiatives to deliver value to PGS and Pfizer Inc.

    • Experience with the SAP, Taulia, iGES, Tableau, Supply IQ and excellent Microsoft Office suite, basic skills managing SharePoint sites and basic understanding of Visualization and Reporting tools.

    • Basic understanding of Agile methodology.
