ROLE SUMMARY
Business Analytics & Insights (BAI) harnesses the power of data to drive robust analytical insights that inform some of Pfizer's most critical business questions. With colleagues across the globe, BAI’s rigorous analytical expertise is depended on as the compass and decision support for the enterprise.
The BAI Manager will partner with the commercial teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality strategic business decision support. As a member of the Business Analytics & Insights organization, this colleague will partner with Commercial Finance, Biopharma Ops, Digital Advanced analytics, and other analytics functions as necessary to ensure all resources are fully and appropriately leveraged to deliver robust solutions to business issues.
The person in this role will assist to frame, investigate, and answer key business questions and deliver the analytics and insights to support the adaptation of global strategies and tactics for the local market. This will include performance measurement, customer analytics, customer journey development, customer data mining and market research, as needed to uncover insights.
This role is dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and covers a broad range of strategic topics that are critical to our business. The successful candidate will join BAI colleagues worldwide that are constantly supporting business transformation through their proactive thought leadership, innovative analytical capabilities and their ability to communicate highly complex and dynamic information in new and creative ways.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Role definition and Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
Partner with BU leadership teams and commercial teams to identify key business questions, relevant analytics and insights needed to inform them
Develop and execute a primary market research/secondary data analysis plan to inform key business decisions and drive performance
Leverage different kinds of secondary data sources and work with the databases to derive insights
Develop regular market trend reports to inform healthcare, customer and competitor landscape
Determine key performance metrics and develop tracking reports on which to evaluate commercial initiatives.
Proactively seek out and evaluate new data sources, tools, and analytic partners that will drive business performance and/or efficiencies in research & data spend
Strengthen data-driven business planning and decision making process, leveraging performance dashboard and interactive analytics
Lead customer/omnichannel analysis and consultation by proactively providing deep insights on brands such as customer journey, segmentation, market specific knowledge. Under Pod structure, provide proactive partnership to marketing, data scientist and BoP to drive omnichannel capability within commercial organization
Provide analytic leadership and support for the Operating Plan process
Ensure compliance with key regulatory policies, such as those guiding Company Sponsored Program (CSP)

PROFESIONAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires high proficiency both in Japanese & English; must be able to communicate with local stakeholders in Japanese, along with proven ability for reading and writing. Fluency in written and spoken English
Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
Understands quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. Extensive experience in management of secondary data. Knowledgeable about study design and able to assess vendor technical capabilities.
Proven ability to connect, integrate and synthesize analysis and data into a meaningful ‘so what’ to drive concrete strategic recommendations and enable commercial decision making. Capable of describing relevant caveats in data or in a model and how they relate to business question.
Expertise in the field of customer/omnichannel analytics
Demonstrated experience of forecasting revenues preferred.
More than 3 years’ experience of commercial/business analytics or marketing/strategy consulting preferred
Bachelor’s degree required, Masters preferred in a quantitative discipline
