    Position summary

Pfizer Digital is the organization charged with winning the digital race in the pharmaceutical industry. We apply our expertise in technology, innovation, and our business to support Pfizer in this mission.  The Digital Finance team is a key partner and essential enabler in implementing our Digital Strategy and support transformational change across Finance.

    The Manager, Financial reporting, partners with the Financial Controllers department providing technical expertise, direction, and planning input on all Digital & Technology activities and initiatives.

    The successful candidate will be a key part of the Financial Reporting team that is responsible from a Digital perspective to close Pfizer’s financial books ($80+B revenues and 700 Legal Entities), and for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing Controllers’ systems.

    The candidate will also evaluate new technology developments and evolving business requirements as well as recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.

    Role Responsibilities

    • Build strong relationships with Business & Digital teams to anticipate business needs based on comprehensive understanding of business processes and requirements, ensure effective operations and drive simplification of business processes during the close

    • Support the translation of business needs into high value reusable and configurable solutions aligned with the overall Pfizer Digital strategy, leveraging existing systems and solutions where possible

    • Maintain good level of technical knowledge in all areas of financial management solutions, industry trends, competitive offerings, and internal Pfizer offerings

    • Make technology recommendations to address business requirements in the Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), and Financial Data Management (FDMEE) space, as well as in the new Financial Close Cloud Solution (FCCS) and Data Management (DM) solutions, hosted in the Oracle EPM Cloud platform

    • Support financial consolidation/reporting processes, intercompany reconciliations/eliminations, data validations, etc.

    • Oversee monthly Controller’s technology platform maintenance including metadata and reporting updates, rules, mappings, and logic updates and communicate to Digital stakeholders

    • Document requirements, prepare test scripts, and implementation plans

    • Ensure timely and concise communication, anticipate, and manage escalation processes

    • Ensure service delivery standards are maintained and work with necessary local, regional and global teams to escalate issues

    • Identify opportunities to improve system performance and end user functionalities/experience

    Qualifications

    Must-Have

    • BS in Information Technology, or Computer Science, or Economics and Financial Science
    • 3+ years designing, building, and supporting technology solutions in the finance space
    • 3+ years’ designing, building, and supporting technology solutions using Hyperion Financial Management tools and software including Hyperion HFM/FDM/Essbase/SmartView, and/or equivalent cloud-based technologies (FCCS/DM/FreeFrom)
    • 2+ years’ of interacting with senior finance leadership across various divisions
    • 2+ years’ project management experience working with internal and external cross-functional team members. Ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands and deal with ambiguity and lead teams through complex and challenging cross-functional projects
    • Good functional expertise in Finance and Accounting, understanding of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), and Financial Data Management (FDM) or equivalent Oracle EPM Cloud platforms
    • Previous demonstrated Business / Financial acumen
    • Excellent analytical skills

    Nice-to-Have

    • MS Degree with strong finance/accounting skills or CPA preferred
    • Experience with SOX Systems and audits
