    Position summary

    The Manager, Global Business Services (GBS) Colleague Services is responsible for providing overall support to the VP, GBS Colleague Services.  This includes partnering with the Vice President in leading and managing the change management and strategy business operations model – as well as managing key initiatives across the Colleague Services team such as communications, budgeting oversight and general engagement activities across the global team.  The individual requires an attention to detail, an ability to operate in a matrix environment, and the ability to take charge and lead assigned initiatives.

    The role will also coordinate and support all Colleague Services activities across the GBS Strategy with a strong focus on management of the partnership model with appropriate GBS and Human Resources stakeholders, including leading the Colleague Services governance model. 

    The position will work closely with the Colleague Services leadership team as well as counterparts in the GBS organization.

    Role Responsibilities

    The Manager, Global Business Services (GBS) Colleague Services will be a critical team member who will manage efficient operations and execution of assigned initiatives ensuring they are in alignment with the Colleague Services vision and purpose.  The individual will work closely with the VP of Colleague Services and its leadership team members.  The Manager responsibilities will include the following, but are not limited to:

    • Establish, maintain, and manage the effective coordination among all stakeholders creating a collaborative network with key internal and external stakeholders
    • Proactively escalate and resolve potential issues by calling them to the attention of the department head and identifying potential solutions
    • Lead a cohesive approach to key business activities including communications planning, training, and stakeholder management
    • Design and manage new approaches to drive engagement and culture across Colleague Services team.
    • Work closely with Finance business partner to manage budget priorities
    • Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues within Global Business Services and Human Resources
    • Lead key initiatives as assigned by manager that support organization building
    • Project manage key initiatives for the VP, GBS Colleague Services
    • Lead the preparation of VP, GBS Colleague Services communication needs to drive the planning and preparation of all internal, external and stakeholder communication forums including Colleague Services Leadership meetings, Site visits, Colleague Services Business Partner Engagements and Team presentations
    • Development and quarterly reporting of Colleague Services annual objectives
    • Leading and managing all Colleague Services engagement forums including development of logistics, planning for agenda and effective execution for these forums and driving outcomes
    • Evaluation of opportunities and development of proposal for continuous improvement
    • Coordinate and connect regional and global GBS objectives across our internal strategy, including driving scorecard of action items, providing VP with updates, and driving strategies and proposal to support progression of key initiatives and objectives

    Skills:

    • A high attention to detail with a customer service orientation
    • Vendor management experience
    • Experienced working in a cross functional, matrix organization required
    • Strong project management skills and experience
    • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner across all levels of the organization
    • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to forge ahead on initiatives not done before recognizing there will be obstacles to overcome along the way

    Required Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree
    • 5 years of experience, in an executive supporting role preferred
    • Demonstrated project management experience from project initiation to completion
    • Prior success delivering results and working in a highly matrix organization and experience with collaborating across multiple stakeholders to drive results

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • MBA
    • Strong expertise with Microsoft Office programs, i.e. PowerPoint
    • Experience in a global business services or shared services organization
