    What You Will Achieve

     The PGS Digital Site Lead will proactively identify and champion business value-driven Digital aligned initiatives and strategies from PGS Digital.  The position will partner with PGS Site Leadership to drive the optimum balance between quality, cost, and maximizing value of our Digital systems and services investment. 

    The PGS Digital Site Lead will own the site systems Plan of Record, manage the site Digital systems/ project portfolio, and ensure associated programs are delivered that meet or exceed site goals.  The position will partner with PGS Site Leadership and site stakeholders to understand site business needs while collaborating with the broader Digital organization to drive transparency and align technology capabilities with PGS and PGS Digital strategies. This position will collaborate with Digital Creation Centers on deployment of projects to ensure that both the business and technical requirements are understood and met. The position will also ensure engagement of Digital Creation Centers to support/drive continuous improvement initiatives and solutions that can be leveraged across the PGS Network Operations.

    The PGS Digital Site Lead will be the single point of contact for all Digital operations at the site. This includes but not limited to being the conduit for the Site Leadership and Operating Units into the Digital organization, oversight of operational support for all locally available Digital systems and services to insure service levels are met, and providing functional managerial support for the Digital colleagues and community at the site.

    How You Will Achieve It

    • Participate actively as a business peer in site leadership team meetings and strategic sessions to ensure that future business needs will be addressed appropriately through Digital capabilities.  Meet with functional management to evaluate client needs, resolve problems and obstacles, provide resources, reset direction and maximize effective interactions and functioning. Proactively provide solutions to complex business process issues  with or without Digital implications
    • Engage across the Digital organization to identify innovative ideas, best practices, and continuous improvement opportunities to promote and maximize the value of existing solutions. Support site continuous improvement initiatives and share best practices
    • Provide support to Digital and Site driven strategic programs, projects and initiatives through partnerships with relevant Digital and Business teams to ensure successful delivery for the site.
    • Collaborate with the PGS Digital Solution Area and Digital Infrastructure (EP&S) teams in system lifecycle activities such as upgrades, enhancements/system expansions, or new project requests in order  to optimize the value of existing global solutions as well as new global system platforms. Support the implementation of the business systems Plan of Record (POR) to ensure timely implementation, resource planning,  and resolution of issues
    • Oversee the Digital incident and service request process for the site. Build a collaborative partnership and establish key contacts within  the PGS Digital support model (BTAMS, ATA, Service Delivery Manager) and with the Digital Infrastructure (EP&S) support model (deskside, site services, Service Delivery Manager) to ensure service levels are met. 
    • Engage with PGS Digital Compliance to ensure the right policies and programs are in place to maintain system compliance with cGMP regulations and Pfizer policies and standards.   Where required, serve as or help the business identify a Site Information Security Officer (ISO) to ensure compliance with Pfizer’s Information Security policies.  Institute and maintain site Disaster Recovery practices in concert with the site Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
    • Lead at the site level inspection readiness activities relating to Digital and promote awareness with the site Audit and Quality teams
    • Act as single point of contact for PGS Site Leadership. Communicate between PGS Site Lead, Digital project teams, Site Leadership Team, and the site Operating Units to ensure that resources are aligned to support system implementations and utilization
    • Host the Digital colleagues at the site and provide support as needed. If requested, provide input on development plans and performance appraisals to the global domain leaders for hosted colleagues.
    • Ensure the on-going development of colleagues and succession plans are aligned with building and maintaining competencies needed to support PGS Digital's system portfolio and value driven initiatives. Provide opportunities for growth through Limited Duration Teams and site CI activities
    • Multi Site support covering all requirements listed above for Dalian and Wuxi site.

    Qualifications

    Must-Have

    1. Education level/experience:
    • Bachelors of Science or related Business/Technical field required.
    • Minimum of 5-10 years eperience in information technology systems and/or infrastructure with minimum of 3-5 years related experience in the pharmaceutical or fine chemical industry.
    1. Special knowledge
    • Demonstrated capability to communicate effectively;
    • embrace diversity;
    • influence stakeholders and build business partnerships to deliver results.
    • Additional required competencies include business systems subject knowledge;
    • manufacturing and process automation systems knowledge;
    • strategic thinking and problem solving; strong business acumen;
    • organizational knowledge/agility;
    • experience with Lean/Operational Excellence tools and driving process efficiencies;
    • ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Fluency in both Mandarin (Chinese) and English languages.
    1. Skills:

    Applies extensive information technology expertise and pharmaceutical specific expertise to role. Demonstrated skills in leading, planning, and developing successful business systems and infrastructure services projects.

    Nice-to-Have

    • Project Management methodologies (i.e., PMI)
    • Software Development Life Cycle methodologies
    • Continuous Improvement methodologies (i.e, Six Sigma certified)
    • Management of IT infrastructure (i.e., ITIL certified)
    • GMP and associated regulatory requirements
