n is highly collaborative across local and global functions within Research and Development and external partners.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to develop and implement in vitro Novel Alternative Methods (NAMS) for screening, candidate selection, and/or mechanistic studies to de-risk toxicity.
Serve as a local subject matter expert and point person for collaborations with the Cellular & Molecular Investigative Toxicology Team in Groton CT
Liaise with Research team members and Toxicology program leads to develop, implement, and interpret in-vitro tissue-based assays to generate data that may inform go/no go decisions.
Network within Drug Safety R&D (DSRD) and other group global experts to share learnings and enhance understanding of the strengths and limitations of NAMs.
Manage and coordinate work involving NAMs with external partners.
Supervise a small technical group to run, collect data, and perform analyses.
Keep up to date with emerging literature and science in the NAMs, Microphysiologic Systems, and Toxicological Sciences
Stimulate interest in the respective area through publication, presentation, and networking internally and externally.
Qualifications
Must-Have
Ph.D. degree in cell/molecular biology, toxicology, immunology, or related field with 3+ years post-doc experience. Expertise in tissue/cell culture and in vitro analytical methodologies .
Strong organizational, interpersonal, teamwork, written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and activities while managing timelines.
Nice-to-Have
3 year's experience in biotech/pharm
Experience working with microphysiological systems and familiarity with complex cell cultures
Passionate about developing and working with novel alternative methods
Knowledge of toxicological studies

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $109,400.00 to $182,300.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 15.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
