    ROLE SUMMARY

    The Gross to Net Organization (GTN) is part of the broader Global Financial Solutions (GFS) and consists of the Chargebacks, Membership, and Medicaid Rebates process areas. The GTN Organization has colleagues in three locations: Memphis, TN and San Jose, Costa Rica & Tampa, Florida, each playing an important role in the domestic revenue cycle. GTN processes include US Wholesaler Chargeback submissions and Medicaid Rebates payments (involving annual volume of approximately 12,500 State invoices and 880,000 claim lines, leading to ~$1.2B in Rebate payments each year).

    The Medicaid Sr. Analyst will own critical relationships, tasks, and processes within the organization and be responsible for effectively collaborating with colleagues in remote locations of varying positions within Pfizer.  While the ability to work independently and perform day to day responsibilities will be required, seizing accountability, developing stakeholder relationships, and leading through change will be critical.

    The position requires excellent Technical, Problem Solving & Analytical skills, Leads Change, Acts Decisively and the ability to build strong relationships across the end-to-end process.  The position will be primarily based in Tampa.

    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Build an in-depth understanding of the end-to-end Medicaid Rebates process, developing into a Process SME.

    • Qtrly Rebates Claims Processing & 340B Duplicate Discounts validation work for critical states.

    • Manage/Oversee the Pharmacy Rx Duplicate claims validation process.

    • Perform Dispute Resolutions with State Medicaid Agencies, to lower aged balances.

    • Backup for Flex Rebates system configuration activities (including Pricing & Contracts).

    • Self-starter who works of own initiative with little guidance from Management.

    • Manage smaller projects and be seen as a cooperative colleague that gets things done.

    • Coordinate results from colleagues with whom there is no direct reporting relationship.

    • Make decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure.

    • Own issue resolution from start to finish.

    • Support escalation process by quickly finding common ground and solving issues for the good of all.

    • Supports and leads select in-house processes, continuous improvement initiatives, and stakeholder collaborations.

    • Organize workload, prioritizes, and proactively follow up on outstanding items.

    • Initiate, develops, and manages formal relationships with key internal colleagues & external customers.

    Other Skills

    • Strong organizational skills required to coordinate with business partners both in and out of the organization

    • Excellent oral, written, and overall communication skills with the ability to conduct meetings and present ideas to groups

    • Change Agile with the ability to easily move from one task to another, juggle multiple tasks at one time and effectively deal with change

    • Strong business acumen and professionalism with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and operations colleagues in all applicable Pfizer Finance and business functional areas

    • Process oriented with strong organizational and planning skills required to coordinate with business partners both in and out of the organization

    • Ability to operate independently and remain focused through change or uncertainty

    REQUIRED BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related discipline

    • 3+ years of relevant finance/accounting experience

    • Advanced Microsoft Office capabilities – Excel, Access

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Master’s degree preferred

    • Life Sciences industry experience (Medicaid chargebacks)
