    Position summary

    The Senior Director, Market Access & Commercial Liaison is accountable for developing the strategy and ensure the best deployment to secure and maintain Market Access, Reimbursement & Pricing for Pfizer’s full portfolio (IM, Onco/I&I, HBU/RD & Vx).

    This position is responsible for leading a team on the development and execution of access strategies to support new launch assets, significant public tenders and contracts, and support patient affordability through the patient journey. Alignment and integration of local country commercial and Access strategies with regional/global teams is essential to coordinate and deliver value to our external payer, customers, and influencers.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    • Design and ensure execution of Access and Reimbursement Strategies at the payer, institution, and patient level in Mexico
    • Capitalize market research and analysis data to design business plans for commercial opportunities.
    • Orchestrate implementation of new customer acquisition strategies
    • Develop, maintain, and execute commercial plans and strategies with public institutions.
    • Play a central role in external engagement with our key stakeholders, as Pfizer leads the conversation on innovative access solutions across the region.
    • Design and implement strategies to achieve listing at the National Health Council list; as well the centralized, decentralized, state and private institutional formularies
    • Oversee all aspects of Access strategy execution including (but not limited to) development of all technical requirements (HEOR studies and dossier submissions), key stakeholder engagement, pricing strategy and value message development
    • Take part in critical decision making based on proactive monitoring of the external environment, customer, and competitor trends; allowing identification of opportunities to protect and improve Access and advise on PHI related policy reforms
    • Oversee development of new launch pricing strategy balancing market level value based pricing and global pricing strategy
    • Design strategies to ensure that optimized revenue generating prices are maintained on the full portfolio over time. Work with above market PHI teams to ensure minimal across border impact associate with local price decisions
    • Lead the development of alternative market access mechanism aiming to accelerate formulary inclusions and increase demand
    • Orchestrate and influence all functions involved in an Access Process (Category Leads, Legal, Regulatory, Medical and Corporate Affairs etc.) To assure an effective inclusion process.
    • Role models Pfizer values, culture elements with visible and inspirational leadership focused on compliance and integrity
    • Key member of the country leadership team contributing to the overall success of Pfizer in the country and/or cluster to provide a full service according to the different BU’s needs.
    • Ensures high standards of compliance to norms, policies, and procedures and instills a proactive compliance risk management culture throughout his/her direct team and the x-functional organization
    • Market Access/PIH and Commercial government E2E process main responsibilities, balance as per adequate strategic oversight and independence should be kept for the full PIH/Gov commercial structure team goals

    ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

    • Reports to the Country Manager
    • Leads Health & Value and public commercial area Team
    • Collaborates with the marketing team to align on strategies and in country plans
    • Works in close collaboration with Regional PHI, Global Pricing, RTAL’s, Medical Affairs, and Finance in conjunction with local resources to execute Mexico Access and public commercial Strategies

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Fluent written and spoken English
    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Preferred specialty in Health Access, Economics, Public Health or similar backgrounds.
    • Master’s Degree preferred
    • 10 years of diverse experience in pharmaceutical environment, where:
      • Proven experience on access management/lead roles within Mexico Pharmaceutical industry
      • Proven experience on leading high performance teams
      • Proven experience on navigating in complex environments
    • Access agenda Knowledge and management
