Position summary

POSITION SUMMARY

  • Responsible for leading the warehouse team, liaising with suppliers on all incoming materials issues including writing deviation reports as required
  • Ensure the weekly and monthly production plans are achieved
  • Develop incoming/outgoing shipping plans and ensure Production, QC, QA and Warehouse teams are alignedresourced to implement the plan.
  • Responsible for inventory management between on site and off site facilities
  • Responsible for compliance culture within the warehouse and leading warehouse discussions in audits

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Warehouse Responsibilities -

  • Manage the Warehouse team including hiring, performance reviews managing the budget
  • Lead and support in business process improvements, implementing best practices and fully utilizing ERP system capabilities with broader view for ease of data access, collection and visualization for future.
  • Ensure ERP system meets business requirements and goals and fulfills user requirements.
  • Develops innovative ways to flow product through warehouses most efficiently and effectively.
  • Support supply chain lead to ensure the capacity assessments are up to date to highlight the limitations/ capacity hot-spots.
  • Work with cross functional teams (at site as well as above-site) to mitigate the capacity constraints with innovative solutions. Perform trade-off scenarios and present to stake-holders.
  • Continuously update and fine-tune the capacity model to cater for changes in the product and equipment mix.

End to End Supply Chain Planning -

  • In-depth understanding of end to end planning activities in SAP to manufacture assigned products. This includes but not limited to creating production plan, ERP recipes, issuing process orders, issuing purchase orders working with procurement, planning and executing shipment to customer.
  • Develop and maintain the Production Plan in SAP ECC & APO based on the demand forecasts and capacity optimization so as to achieve budget requirements.
  • Manage the optimum inventories of raw materials and finished good to meet the customer demand as well as minimizing the distressed inventory resulting from planning deficiencies. Perform monthly material inventory analysis to identify and manage slow moving and distressed for disposition,.
  • Setup material master data for raw material as well as finished goods.Coordinate between suppliers and Pfizer to ensure all quality specifications are met and GMP requirements are complied with.
  • Prepare and tracking of external shipping budget. Coordinate with Shipping and freight forwarders to ensure time availability of finished drug substances to meet shipment schedules.
  • Liaise with freight forward for all freight related matters and actively participate in the transport council meetings and operations review meeting with freight forwarders.

As a Supply chain and Warehouse Manager/ Front-line leader, the incumbent will be responsible to -

  • Engage and inspire their teams on performance expectations and coach the team to meet those expectations using Coaching Skill principles.
  • Focus on Safety and GMP Compliance as operational priorities and as performance measures that should be included in metrics.
  • Know the processes and procedures, including the principles and practices of good data management (ALCOA), and be able to guide, advise and coach their teams.
  • Be accountable for the Good Data Management and Data integrity understanding and performance of their team.
  • Effectively monitor the actions of their team. Ensure an active daily presence in the GMP work area to observe the work activity and practices within their role responsibilities. Any compliance deviations noted must be investigated in accordance with Site Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Be available to their direct reports for real time escalations of any concerns or support needs.
  • Be observant, investigate and report actions or behaviors that may negatively impact the desired outcome of the GMP process or activity.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement efforts, where applicable.
  • Be a role model to support a positive compliance culture.
  • Review the content of all Leader Led Conversations and, on an annual basis, conduct two ‘Leader Led Conversations’ with their teams aimed at fostering a culture that supports compliance with procedures, including good data management.
  • Be vigilant for potential actions or behaviors that could result in breaches of GMP compliance or Data Integrity principles.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Liaise with project design, commissioning and qualification team on the design review as well as C&Q for warehouse projects.

Liaise with BT and cross-functional teams for ERP system design and integration.

Collaborate with other supply chain teams at-site and above site, Freight Forwarders, GLS Managers, Supply Point Companies

Liaison with procurement for strategic matters related to supply of raw materials

Liaison with operations and process team for communication and execution of production plan.

Liaison with suppliers for order placing and delivery plan

RESOURCES MANAGED

Financial Accountability

  • Responsible for site budget forecasting and planning, In-charge of operational budget for warehouse and logistics, Responsible for inventory control.

Supervision

  • Ability to lead and to coach team members across different levels – from material technicians to supply chain specialists.
  • Participate in the future hiring and team-building.
  • Directly supervise the team for warehouse operations

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Preferred Degree in Chemical/ Operations Engineering/ Technology or Supply Chain Management or APICS/ CPIM
  • At least 10 years of supply chain planning (production planning / material planning / scheduling) experience preferably in the pharmaceutical / chemical industry.
  • In depth knowledge (at least 10 years of experience) in SAP systems
  • Expertise in warehouse design and management procedures, best practices etc.
