ROLE SUMMARY
This role is a part of the Pfizer SAP ERP Emerging Technology team with a focus on implementing and expanding SAP’s Emerging Technologies such as Business Technology Platform (BTP) along with other SAP SaaS solutions and, as needed, non-SAP SaaS solutions aligned with Pfizer’s Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) compliance requirements.
Key accountabilities for the role include working with and educating the cross functional SAP Digital Solutions, Support, Development, Security and Compliance teams on the SAP SaaS capabilities to determine if they are fit for purpose to support Pfizer business requirements.
After determining fit for purpose, the candidate will be responsible to initiate the SDLC process to compliantly onboard the application within the Information Protection and Risk Management (IPRM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Pfizer’s Document Management (PDocs) systems.
Finally, the role is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the new SaaS offering is compliantly onboarded and ready for use following Pfizer Digital’s SDLC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.
The role will engage with Associate levels through Sr. Director levels, as well as across various Pfizer Digital functions.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for SAP’s Emerging Technologies and apply this expertise to compliantly enable new digital capabilities to meet business requirements.
Deliver routine educational sessions on SAP’s Emerging Technologies to the Digital Cross Functional Teams on the benefits, risks and costs associated with the SaaS solutions.
Collaborate with the Digital Compliance team and the Global Information Security (GIS) team to ensure SOX, GxP and Cyber Security Compliance for SAP’s Emerging Technologies.
Work closely with SAP Production Support to transition SAP’s Emerging Technologies from project mode to support mode.
Work closely with the ERP Engineering/BASIS, Technical Architecture and Cyber Security teams to align with long term visions and plans between on-premise and SaaS solutions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BS/BA in Information Technology or related field
3+ years of Information Technology experience
Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) as well as other SAP SaaS solutions.
Knowledge of middleware technologies, SAP development methodology, and Java development
Understanding of traditional SAP Basis administration
Understanding of relational database technology
Familiarity with SAP HANA
Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strong organizational skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry
Experience validating software and digital platform solutions.
Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts
Project Management / Program Management Certification
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Willingness to work nights and weekends to support project go-live times lines.
Willingness to travel up to 10%.
