    Position summary

    1.PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    The goal of this role is to provide support to:

    • The development and manufacturing of aseptic products
    • Processes
    • Technologies, Systems & Equipment
    • Facilities & Utilities
    • Engineering

    And this in following fields:

    • Participate in project teams, operation and system teams or manages projects.
    • Provides and develops scientific and technical expertise in one or more technologies
    1. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
    • Master's degree engineering or equivalent by working experience
    • Minimum 3-5 years of working experience
    • Minimum 1-3 years of pharmaceutical experience
    1. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    General skills

    • Fluent English and Dutch speaking and writing
    • Technical knowledge in the department’s key focus area(s): expert in at least one domain, fully effective in at least one other.
    • People management skills (motivation, coaching, communication, listening, tact, diplomacy) for the coaching of the project and technical teams.
    • Good analytical and problem solving skills
    • Work efficiently with people with various backgrounds (communication with all levels in the plant, assertiveness, negotiation), directs work and give technical coaching.

    1. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    PEOPLE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Engage and inspire their teams on performance expectations and coach the team to meet those expectations using Coaching Skill Principles.  

    • Focus on Safety and GMP Compliance as operational priorities and as performance measures that should be included in metrics.  

    • Know the processes and procedures, including the principles and practices of good data management (ALCOA), and be able to guide, advise and coach their teams.   

    • Be accountable for the Good Data Management and Data integrity understanding and performance of their team.   

    • Effectively monitor the actions of their team. Ensure an active daily presence in the GMP work area to observe the work activity and practices within their role responsibilities.    

    • Ensure that the team has an up-to-date learning plan that is in line with their job description and actively monitor their qualification status.  

    • Be available to their direct reports for real time escalations of any concerns or support needs.  

    • Be observant, investigate and report actions or behaviors that may negatively impact the desired outcome of the GMP process or activity.   

    • Lead and support continuous improvement efforts, where applicable.   

    • Be a role model to support a positive compliance culture.   

    • Participate in Leader Led Conversations and conduct two team meetings aimed at fostering a culture that supports compliance with procedures, including good data management (on an annual basis). 

    • Be vigilant for potential actions or behaviors that could result in breaches of GMP compliance or Data Integrity principles.   

    ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES – KEY DISTINCT DUTY AREAS

    • Focus on the departmental objectives in support of the site and PGM-objectives.
    • Project definition and develop the project’s scope (including justification (Capital Request justification), design packages, technical specifications, functional description, engineering standards, legal and company requirements, based on CPMP-project flow)
    • Cost estimation for this scope: Budget set-up based on a detailed Work Breakdown Structure and cost control/follow-up to stay within budgetary constraints.
    • Technical Expertise
    • Provide technical expertise within the working area (eg equipment, technology and process automation, systems, facilities & utilities) and keep acquainted with new recommendations in the field.
    • Provide technical guidance to team members; acts as a specialized team member in the project team.
