    Job Description: RSV Vaccine Brand Manager

    ROLE SUMMARY

    Pfizer Vaccine has a strong pipeline in addition to the brands widely used in Japan (Prevenar13 and Comirnaty), and one of the key products that will lead the growth of Pfizer Vaccine is the RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) vaccine which is expected to launch around the world in a couple of years. RSV is a contagious virus and a common cause of respiratory illness among infants, and the incidence rate of RSV disease is reportedly close to influenza among older adults. The RSV vaccine is expected to protect infants and older adults from the infectious disease, and in the case of infants, through maternal immunization.

    The RSV Vaccine Brand Manager will contribute to maximizing the value of the new product by developing the launch strategy and the commercial tactics plan, and by leading commercial activities. The Brand Manager will closely work with the Lead and Senior Brand Manager of the team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

    Specific responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

    • Contribute to creating the launch strategy and tactics, and lead commercial activities for the RSV vaccine
      • Proactively join discussions among global/regional/local cross-functional colleagues (Medical, Health & Values, and Public Affairs) and bring creative ideas to develop the launch strategy and tactics
      • Collaborate with external stakeholders (HCPs, academia, and national/local governments) to develop an environment where infants and older adults can be protected by RSV
      • Develop a plan based on analysis obtained from data, facts, and insights, and lead commercial activities by leveraging omni-channels
      • Set appropriate KPIs for commercial activities and keep updating plans and actions based on feedback
      • Create materials based on insights obtained through analytics to deliver information and messages to encourage HCPs and consumers to use the vaccine
      • Conduct qualitative/quantitative analyses and research to earn customer insights for revenue forecasts and commercial tactics
      • Keep eyes open for new information on the global and local competitive landscape, the latest discussions among KOLs and academia, and local legislation regarding immunization
    • Uphold and adhere to Pfizer company policies, compliance rules/regulations, SOPs, and pharmaceutical regulatory guidelines (i.e. cGMP/cGLP/cGCP).

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • BA or BS required
    • More than 3 years of experience in commercial experience (brand marketing, digital marketing, and/or sales strategy/management) is required
    • Fluently communicate in Japanese and English in both written and spoken
    • Analytic and strategic thinking and ability to articulate business direction and priorities
    • Strong leadership, project management, and coordination skills across large groups of cross-functional teams
    • Actively contribute to creating and implementing innovative ideas, as well as to fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork
    • Understand analytic tools/methods, demonstrate the ability to collect customer insights, and translate them to implications which leads to the robust brand strategy
    • Build broad accountability, trust, empower, and adapt own style to fit the needs of the situation and individual
    • Be agile in delivering the values of Pfizer vaccines
