As a Business Analytics Consultant Senior in PNC's Finance organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.
This position is primarily based in a location within PNC’s footprint. Preferred locations are listed in this requisition. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities can be performed remotely. Additional locations may be considered.
The position will support PNC’s Regulatory Reporting department which is responsible for the statutory filings with regulatory agencies focusing on PNC’s several foreign entities.
The position offers the opportunity to navigate the multi-faceted and demanding regulatory landscape while partnering with experienced and diverse line of business contacts within PNC. As PNC embarks upon full scale transaction testing effort, this role will be an integral contributor in the validating the integrity of the reporting data specifically related to FRY-14M & FRY -14Q. This position offers a critical role in the planning and development stages of technological solution implemented for data analytics of large-scale data. The role will also be responsible for monthly and quarterly production of regulatory filings.
The role partners closely with various areas within Finance, Operations, Technology, and Treasury. Responsibilities will grow and change over time. There will be considerable interaction with all levels of various departments across PNC. Duties and responsibilities may include the following:
• Preparation of regulatory reporting filings and ad hoc reporting.
• Work closely with the Technology team to identify defects, resolves issues, coordinate releases, and test defects/system changes.
• Internal/External Audit, SOX, and Risk Management compliance.
• Participation on project teams dealing with system conversions and enhancements.
• Special projects.
• Communicate information to Senior Management.
• Identify opportunities for automation and work with Technology and management to implement solutions
Additionally, you will contribute to the continued automation of regulatory reporting which includes: 1) using SQL and Teradata technology to query, identify and analyze automation opportunities, and 2) defining scope of activities, requirements definition, process review, impact assessment and operational streamlining.

•Create accurate and thorough financial reports in accordance with GAAP/IFRS and regulatory requirements.
•Ensure processes, procedures and workpapers adequately support reporting requirements and filed results.
•Interpret and implement instructions from the various regulators.
•Able to apply advanced accounting and/or finance concepts in performing complex analysis.
•Gather, document and update business requirements.
•Develop business testing strategies and work with project members to execute test plans, recommend preferred solutions, and implement recommendations.
•Develop and maintain strong relationship with business partners and internal/external team members.
•Effective communication with both regulatory reporting team and LOBs to fully understand processes and results.
•Identify issues and escalates/manages resolution as required.
Education:
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology is desirable or equivalent work experience required.

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
