Our Role:
The Accounting and Performance team within PGIM Fixed Income works in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Our ideal candidate should have knowledge of various Fixed Income products and understand portfolio accounting and performance concepts. The candidate should also be a self-starter who can take a vision and create solutions using adept problem-solving abilities.
The primary responsibilities include performing Net Asset Value (NAV) reconciliations, validation and reporting of book value, book yield and gain/loss data, analyzing monthly portfolio returns, and helping the team with data requests and reports.
This role is a hybrid work model requiring working in our Newark, NJ office 2-3 days a week.
Your Impact:
Work within the team to produce and verify portfolio returns and NAVs across different investment vehicles
Resolve processing-related quality control exceptions for accurate accounting and performance results
Review reconciliations to custodian banks and accounting agents to prevent and resolve NAV/performance discrepancies before closing and publishing accounting records
Analyze fixed income security book value, book yield, amortization, accretion, book price and related data for accuracy
Analyze current processes and identify areas needed for improvement
Leverage technology and identify opportunities to deliver on process efficiencies
Keep abreast of industry initiatives and market trends that impact the business to continue to improve efficiencies.
Skills and Qualifications:
Business, Engineering, Math majors, or majors with skills that align to the position, and a minimum GPA of 3.0
Familiarity with Fixed Income instruments through completing relevant coursework, internships, or other experience
Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively give/receive feedback and share ideas
A numbers-oriented individual with keen attention to detail and analytical aptitude
Being able to see patterns trends in a data set and draw meaningful conclusions from it is a plus
Comfort with using new technology and programs
Knowledge of SQL and ability to work with databases and large datasets a plus
An entrepreneurial spirit with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
Determination and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while working on multiple tasks both independently and on a team

The salary range for this role is from $60,000 to $80,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
