The Prudential Treasury Department has an opening for an Associate Manager (10P) position on the Rating Agency team within the Stakeholder Management & Capital Framework group.
The Treasury Department is responsible for broad activities related to the capital management of the company including the capital structure and funding, stakeholder management, and liquidity and financing operations. This is a unique opportunity for an individual to develop knowledge of Prudential's businesses, strategies, and financial strength, including a variety of capital and liquidity concepts.
The Rating Agency Team of Stakeholder Management & Capital Framework group has a mix of both on-going responsibilities and project/ad-hoc work, though the former is more in focus for the Associate Manager.
There will be frequent opportunities to collaborate within the Treasury Department and the broader Prudential community and gain exposure to senior management.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Build a strong understanding of the respective ratings criteria and methodologies and understand how it applies to Prudential’s business and financial profile metrics
Support initiatives to enable growth, measure financial strength, and address rating agency issues.
Support the processes utilized by the rating agencies to formulate a view on Prudential’s financial strength and creditworthiness, why we value their opinions and how the work completed in Finance, and specifically in Treasurers, can help shape that view including:
Qualifications:
At least 3-5 years of work experience in corporate finance, capital management, accounting, or capital markets preferred
MBA or CFA designation a plus but not required
Solid interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of management
Critical thinking and problem-solving experience
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong cross disciplinary skills with experience handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Team player with an ability to be productive independently
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $83,300.00 to $124,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
