    Responsibilities

    • Mentor and coach, the technical team providing feedback on deliverables and project timelines including support with code reviews, domain knowledge and ownership, SLA development and application reliability. Coach and educate team on industry trends and emerging technologies, elevating the business acumen of the team.

    • Collaborate with global technology partners, architecture, chief product owner, product owners and team members to drive outcomes with focus on enriched customer experience

    • Work closely with business partners to understand needs and transform them into testable components

    • Foster an Agile environment – SAFE Agile.

    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain accountability

    • Design the overall technological architecture of the product with the support of the team

    • Guide teams on technology strategy related to coding practices, continuous integration, and automated deployment, and help to interpret technology strategy into consumable units of work deployed to the teams.

    • Responsible for executing technical design and infrastructure / environments strategy, including deployments, ensuring that these are kept in-line with a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) mindset of ‘emerging architecture’.

    • Identify and remove complex technical impediments.

    • Work with Product Owner to align the roadmap with strengths and opportunities within the technical stack. Bring forward business acumen and knowledge to influence decisions.

    • Serve as technical liaison with adjacent areas to integrate applications and implement software engineering best practices for higher code quality.

    • Deliver end to end solution using innovative approaches to complex design problems

    • Lead technical teams to deliver high-quality products

    • Drive Engineering and Operational Excellence within teams.

    • Work flexible hours as needed to accommodate onsite and offshore team needs

    • Drive software development activities to meet schedules and timelines

    • Thrives to ensure code quality is high with supporting unit test and automation, and timely delivery

    • Research problems discovered by quality assurance or product support with a strong sense of ownership and develop solutions to address the problems

    • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and how they can be applied to Prudential

    • Drives low-level design and contributes to high-level architecture. Champion modular design, reuse, separation of concern, high cohesion, and loose coupling

    • Enable change, help accelerate innovation

    • Demonstrating experience with taking intelligent risks and leveraging a ‘test and learn’ mentality

    • Committed to a spirit of authentic partnership – to colleagues both internal and external to the organization

    • Conduct unit testing and integration testing for functionality

    • Ensure that software standards, non-functional requirements, and quality targets are met

     

    Qualifications:

    • Must possess graduate-level degree with a concentration in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
    • 5-7 years of experience in the development and design of complex applications
    • Deep proficiency in more than one programming language is required. Knowledge of a combination of ETL (Informatica Tools), AWS services, Python, Pyspark will be required.
    • Must have experience with relational databases- such as, DB2, PostgresRDS and data analytics. Database Program
    • Knowledge of Dev ops, CI/CD knowledge required. Ability to adapt and drive migration of pipelines
    • Salesforce/ Adobe AEP, Marketo integration experience desired, or ability to adapt.
    • Must be able to create technical patterns, governance, and drive implementation.
    • Experience with service implementation using microservice-based Architecture. (Apigee etc) is a plus not required
    • Working knowledge of Customer and marketing domain is a plus, but not required
    • Familiar with security concepts (authentication, authorization, encryption, digital signature), SSL, web service proxies, firewalls, multi-protocol gateways
    • Understanding of Agile SDLC methodologies is required
    • Driven, self-motivated, able to work under pressure using sound judgment & professionalism.
    • Must demonstrate a craving for continuous improvement, through understanding of new technology innovation and its application
    • Acts as a change agent and champions employee engagement within SCRUM team by being positive, direct, data-driven, constructive, and vocally self-critical
    • Certificate on basic Snowflake, AWS Architect is a plus
    • Experience in building Enterprise Data Catalog, Enterprise Data Lake and Data Governance is a plus

    Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $163,600.00 to $221,400.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
