Prudential’s Inclusion & Diversity team leads high-impact enterprise-wide initiatives that promote equity, inclusion and engagement for executional excellence and is responsible for the following areas:

The Director, Inclusive Talent Strategy & Execution reports into the VP of DEI Strategy and Insights and will be an enterprise-wide diversity leader and an internal consultant for divisional businesses and corporate centers, responsible for creating holistic constituency strategies in alignment with enterprise goals for employee retention, diverse representation, mobility & development and employee experience. This position involves a high level of influence, working with and collaborating with a variety of cross divisional departments and business functions.
This role will be aligned to multiple areas including but not limited to
people of color, veteran, individuals with disability, LGBTQ+, women, from both an external and internal perspective.
Internal Focus
• Define and execute the holistic strategy, key objectives, goals, priorities and impact metrics for the different employee populations with a deep focus on talent across the firm.
• Provide direction across various forums to drive and govern execution of the strategy and delivery against the DEI priorities related to representation, engagement, and professional development.
• Develop thought leadership in support of the execution of the programs and initiatives that support the enterprise DEI strategy.
• Build relationships with, advise and support key stakeholders (HR, TA, Business & Function Leaders) on best diversity practices and approaches.
• Assist with executing internal systems and process improvements that drive inclusive philosophies for the talent lifecycle.
• Leverage learnings from employee perspective and feedback to create and facilitate DEI programs across a wide range of topics and facets throughout all levels of the organization
• Provide thought leadership to Business Resource Groups in the development and execution of the strategy for localized and firmwide DEI programs and initiatives in alignment with the firm’s DEI strategy.
• Collaborate with BRG Leadership to define unique community needs that will enhance employee engagement and lived experiences
External Focus
• Enhance the firm’s employer brand by identifying, driving and coordinating various efforts to attract, retain, and advance diverse talent to the organization, in partnership with external sponsors and internal stakeholders.
• Work to develop and execute non-traditional talent recruitment and development strategies aimed at generating diverse candidate flow to meet overall recruiting needs as well as a pipeline for future needs.
• A key function of this role is driving desired outcomes from our external diversity partners and organizations and operationalizing the process for new tools and capabilities for business and HR teams.
Other Responsibilities
• Program & Project Management: Strategically manage and oversee the delivery of business-aligned projects to achieve desired organizational and functional objectives; ensure field ready implementation
• Develop creative and innovative ways to source talent, and continually re-engineer processes for best outcomes
• Relationship manage external diversity portfolio with excellence and deliver on I&D conference & event strategy
• Leverage knowledge and experience to propose innovative and integrated solutions
• Serve as a resource to Recruiters, Hiring Managers and Senior Leadership in understanding the external diverse talent environment, candidate pool and perceptions
• Stay up-to-date on innovative developments in workforce and workplace diversity and recruitment tools, best practices, and how the recruiting team can best utilize these recruiting/networking resources
• Comfortably present various content at various inclusion & diversity events and for internal stakeholders
Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience in leading scalable workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion programs
· Experienced in leading and managing projects resulting in impactful outcomes; demonstrated ability to plan, organize, coordinate, juggle and direct multiple projects and activities with varied deadlines and strategic agendas
• Highly consultative and strong experience engaging and influencing leaders
• Strong relationship management skills, including ability to drive healthy discussions around complex issues, persuade others to move in a desired direction and strong active listening skills
• Strong partnership skills including demonstrated experience liaising with key internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated passion and ability to successfully identify, qualify, and engage diverse candidates at all skill levels
• Strong team orientation and a desire to work with others in an inclusive manner serving as a positive and motivating force to teammates and stakeholders
• Travel is required approximately 25% of the time
• Open to other locations, with occasional travel as needed to the Newark, NJ location
Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $144,500.00 to $195,500.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
