In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence the future of Prudential through managing the integrity, efficiency, and availability of data. The main purpose of this position is help pursue “what is possible” and to assist the master data management team in the formation and execution of a robust, scalable, and sustainable master data management framework, policies, and standards that lend to an improved data foundation to:
• Increase the value, consistency, and use of data for employees, customers, and our business
• Increasing confidence and consistency in data across platforms and business units
• Eliminating or minimizing re-work
• Minimizing the risk of regulatory/compliance failures.
• Optimizing effectiveness and efficiency in data access and utilization
• Continually enhance controls in the support of master data management
Responsibilities:
• Supports the implementation of core MDM and operationalizes to solve enterprise-wide business problems while and communicating ‘the story’ effectively to key stakeholders, the team, and enterprise.
• Develop and oversee initiative/program roadmaps ensuring that measurable OKR's, milestones, resource plans (human and technical), and ROIs that represent ongoing impact and value that operationalize the capabilities and deliver a portfolio of initiatives ensuring the strategic direction and outcomes of the businesses are reflected in the execution of these initiatives
• Demonstrates thought leadership and expertise in Master Data Management and serves a resident expert and evangelist for enterprise deployment and adoption
• Deliver high impact communication and PR strategies for data governance that tell compelling stories that generate advocacy for data governance across the enterprise
• Manage stakeholder expectations and establish credibility at all levels across Prudential while building problem-solving partnerships
• Train and mentor talent to develop critical MDM expertise.
• Conduct MDM gap analysis, highlighting current state, future state, best practices, and solution offerings
• In partnership with IT and architecture teams, contribute to the development and implementation of MDM strategy, process design, MDM architecture requirements and the implementation roadmap
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Master Data Hub Architecture, data design and implementation
• Experience in supporting MDM strategies, with the ability to discuss requirements, priorities, potential solutions
• Gathering and documenting Master Data Management requirements
• Steering analysis, architecture, design and development of Master Data Management solutions
• Understanding of Data Management best practices such as Match/Merge, Enrichment, Trust & Survivorship, Deduplication
• Can articulate the business value of MDM and steer best practices within a domain or industry
• Proven analytical skills to properly evaluate and interpret cross-functional data standardization requirements
• Strong presentation, verbal and written communications skills
• Proven talent and experience for influencing and networking to help build and foster strong business relationships and leveraging those relationships to seek consensus amongst stakeholders on master data management matters
• Experience in designing, configuring and deploying MDM solutions on a leading platform (e.g., Ataccama, Informatica, Profisee, Reltio, Stibo, Semarchy)
• Understanding of relational and non-relational database technology
Good to have experience
• Experience in implementing Data Privacy/Security, Metadata Management, Data Quality and Data Lineage tools from the ground up
• Experience in Agile and Lean philosophies and frameworks
• Experience in evaluating processes and technologies and making recommendations
Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $140,300.00 to $189,800.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
