    Job Summary:

    • This position will be part of the Business Unit Controllership and report to the Director, Financial Reporting.
    • The Manager will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the PGIM private businesses.
    • The role will support senior management and other business partners in measuring and evaluating the financial performance of the businesses by providing timely, accurate financial reporting and insightful analysis of business drivers, while maintaining appropriate internal controls.
    • Responsible for a team of 3-4 associates located in the U.S.

     Responsibilities:

    • Ensure the accuracy, and completeness of GAAP financial results, including the balance sheet and income statement
    • Lead and oversee the monthly and quarterly financial close process, including review of journal entries and account reconciliations
    • Present the financial results of the businesses to various audiences, including senior management, by providing insightful and impactful analytics
    • Effectively communicate with counterparts in Financial Shared Services (FSS), the Line of Business (LOB) teams and our foreign finance teams
    • Oversee internal control standards to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other external accounting policies and standards
    • Review and implement new accounting guidance as needed
    • Identify opportunities for automation and determine innovative ways to streamline processes
    • Coach and assist with the development of the team

    Specific responsibilities for the position will vary over time based on business needs and other factors.

    Qualifications:

    Required

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
    • 5-7 years of experience in financial reporting or analysis
    • Proven ability to analyze data and the underlying drivers of financial results
    • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with various counterparts
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities under challenging time frames

    Preferred

    • Advanced degree and/or relevant certification (MBA, CPA, or CFA) is a plus
    • Knowledge of financial reporting applications (Oracle, EFDW, Essbase) is a plus
    • Previous related industry experience

    Comments:

    • Overtime is expected during peak periods.

    Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $108,000.00 to $160,700.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
