    Prudential Financial (Prudential) has an opening in its Retirement Strategies Business Unit Treasury Group. This group is responsible for providing support to Retirement Strategies on all business and product profitability, capital management, borrowing, liquidity, and cash management activities.

    In this role, a successful candidate will gain a thorough understanding of all the products that the Retirement Strategies business offers in the marketplace, as well as the appropriate level of capital and liquidity necessary to support the economic risks of each product. In addition to supporting the Retirement Strategies business, this position will interact directly with various functions across Prudential including, Finance, Treasury, Asset Management, Actuarial, Chief Investment Office and Enterprise Risk Management. A successful candidate will collaborate with corporate partners on complex, technical topics in order to provide prudent recommendation to the Retirement Strategies business.
     

    The primary responsibilities of this position are:

    • Partner with Actuarial, CIO, Corporate Treasurers, and Tax to complete quarterly capital forecast, actual reporting, and various projects. Main deliverables include preparations of Required Capital, RBC / statutory capital forecast, cash flow analysis, excess capital, and other capital related items
    • Collaborate on the development of the annual Capital Plan and accompanying analysis
    • Partner with the Controller and USB Finance & Analytics teams to develop and provide insight into profitability analytics at the Retirement Strategies business and product level
    • Development of related presentations for senior management, rating agencies, regulators and the Finance Committee/Board of Directors with the opportunity to present key business drivers and financial metrics to senior levels of Retirement Strategies and Corporate Treasury
    • Assist in the allocation of Retirement Strategies capital to the product level in order to provide management with key financial metrics and business insights
    • Develop critical analysis for key business drivers that impact profitability, capital, and liquidity
    • Support various ad hoc initiatives and presentations for senior business, and Corporate leaders within Finance and Treasury
    • Additional responsibilities of the position may vary depending on the candidate’s background, skills and experience.
       

    ​Qualifications

    The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

    • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field is preferred
    • 5+ years of financial management/analysis/research experience with exceptional analytical skills
    • Progress towards or commitment to a CFA, CPA or MBA is preferred
    • Demonstrated leadership and partnering skills
    • Strong knowledge of insurance and actuarial concepts, GAAP, statutory and tax accounting are needed but could be obtained through on-the-job training
    • Critical thinking and problem-solving experience are required
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
    • Proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and manage multiple projects
    • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

    Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $111,400.00 to $165,800.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
