    The Prudential Treasury Department has an opening for a Manager position within the Borrowing and Cost of Capital team.

    The Treasury Department is responsible for broad activities related to the capital management of the company including the capital structure and funding, stakeholder management, and liquidity and financing operations. The Borrowing team’s core responsibility is to manage and execute the company’s funding strategy (e.g., capital structure and funding solutions) which is used to support ongoing operations and strategic initiatives across the enterprise.

    This is a unique opportunity for someone to support activities for the Borrowing team as well as initiatives across the department such as:

    • Exposure to capital markets activities, transactions, and funding strategy

    • Assessing and identifying liquidity and collateral management opportunities

    • Supporting evolution of capital structure and related frameworks and policies

    The individual is expected to partner across multiple Treasury disciplines and has opportunities to collaborate with various businesses and functions (including Actuarial, the Chief Investment Office and Enterprise Risk Management) across the broader Prudential community and gain exposure to senior management, including the CFO and Treasurer. Additionally, will also have opportunities to lead process improvement projects and develop technology driven solutions to improve analytics.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Supporting capital market initiatives such as transactions and evaluation of strategies

    • Partner with Treasury areas such as Liquidity, Capital Planning, and Capital Frameworks in supporting and evolving related frameworks and initiatives

    • Develop and enhance analytics and implement tools/dashboards to enable further insights around Treasury concepts such as borrowing, liquidity and capital metrics

    • Develop and maintain documentation around Prudential’s frameworks, philosophies, and procedures as well as transaction specific documentation and presentations

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • At least 5 years work experience in finance, accounting or treasury field; ideally, corporate finance background

    • MBA with finance or accounting concentration or other degree with CFA, CPA, ASA, or FSA designation is highly preferred

    • Strong knowledge of life insurance, risk management, and actuarial concepts, GAAP and statutory accounting strongly preferred.

    • Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to break down complex actuarial or financial concepts and communicate them to all levels of management.

    • Demonstrated leadership and partnering skills, including success in influencing outside of direct reporting line

    • Committed to continuous process improvement and ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment

    • Team player, but ability to be productive independently

    • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, and strong project management skills

    • Knowledge of Prudential’s businesses and internal frameworks/systems is preferred

    Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $111,400.00 to $165,800.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
