PGIM Market Data Business Management is a centralized team within PGIM that is responsible for the procuring and onboarding the market data services for PGIM and Prudential Financial. The team is comprised of market data industry experts located in the United States. The team has an average of 16 years of experience in market data. PGIM is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic self-starter to join the Market Data Business Management Team to help manage all aspects of market data vendor relationships and services.
The Market Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing market data business requirements and developing recommendations to meet specific business needs. Work independently and with other team members to onboard new services and the continued review of existing market data vendors and services. The Market Data Analyst will have direct interaction with internal investment professionals as well external market data vendors. The Manager must have a working knowledge of financial markets, an excellent understanding of the of the business areas supported, previous experience in market data services business management or procurement.
Responsibilities include:
• Primary contact and relationship manager for PGIM Affiliates’ and Prudential Financial’s market data business management needs.
• Host and coordinate regular meetings with market data vendors to discuss the relationship matters. (E.g. Renewals, Service Issues, New Products and Enhancements, etc.)
• Assist in managing relationships with external market data vendors. Provide feedback to vendors, communicate requirements, analyze proposals, negotiate fees, terms and usage rights.
• Responsible for reviewing market data agreements and incorporating PGIM’s additional legal requirements into the final agreement.
• Communicate and coordinate with various internal partners such as, Business Owners, Legal, Operational and Third-Party Risk Management, Finance, IT, and Data Governance for all market data business management related matters. (E.g. New Services, Renewals, Terminations, Service Issues, Due Diligence).
• Collaborate with Business Owners on existing market data contract renewals to ensure all services use is being fully utilized and renewed in a timely manner.
• Support all requests for new services, transfers, and terminations. (E.g.
Moves/Adds/Changes)
• Manage internal market data expense reporting process. This includes overseeing multiple monthly reports which are sent to various stakeholders. Partner with report developers and technology in resolving issues for existing reports and dashboards. Collaborate with the team as well as business partners in developing new market data expense reports and dashboards or enhancing existing reports and dashboards.
• Stay up to date with new market data trends, licensing polices and technology to keep internal business partners informed of the changes.
• Responsible for maintaining the inventory of market data in FITS.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Three plus years hands on experience working within market data business management or procurement.
• Must be detail oriented and possess excellent time management, organizational and strong verbal and written communication skills, plus the ability to work within a fast-paced environment on multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Must be able to communicate effectively on a regular basis, foster and maintain strong relationship management both externally with market data vendors and internally with business partners.
• Possess a strong working knowledge and hands on experience with the various market data vendors and their licensing policies (E.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, S&P Global/IHS Markit, FactSet, Moody’s, ICE Data, FTSE Russell, MSCI, INTEX, Morningstar, Fitch, Real-Time Exchanges, etc.).
• Knowledge and understanding of the financial industry and related financial terms to supported market data needs.
• Ability to work within a small team to collaborate on projects and assignments as well as independently.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills are a must.
• FITS Market Data Inventory System experience preferred or equivalent.
• Experience working with Front, Middle and Back office financial professionals.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Tools (E.g. Excel Pivot Tables, Power Pivot, Word, Power Point).
• Technical knowledge of creating data visualizations using business intelligence platforms is a plus. (E.g. Power BI, Tableau, IBM Cognos)
This position is a flexible hybrid working arrangement where two days of work will be in the office and three days from home.
