    What you will do

    As a Senior Financial Reporting Associate, you will be part of the PGIM Controllers team and support the PGIM Fixed Income and PGIM Investments businesses. Your role on this team will be to assist senior management and other business partners in measuring and evaluating the financial performance of the businesses by providing timely, accurate financial reports and insightful analysis of business drivers behind the results, while maintaining appropriate internal controls.

    The position is based in our Newark, NJ office. Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees work remotely and from the office. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration. Overtime is expected during peak periods.

    What you can expect

    • Support the monthly and quarterly close processes, and reporting deliverables across the global businesses.

    • Active involvement in the preparation of financial results packages / presentations.

    • Cash management and processing of wires in collaboration with business partners.

    • Collaboration with multiple teams, both domestically and internationally.

    • Review of ledger entries and reconciliations for accuracy.

    • Identify opportunities for automation and determine innovative ways to streamline processes.

    • Respond to ad-hoc requests and participate in new projects.

    What you will bring

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

    • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.

    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment.

    • Initiative-taking, organized, able to manage time.

    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

    • Ability to collaborate with various counterparts.

    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    What will set you apart?

    • Prior working experience in financial services industry, public accounting, or asset management.

    • Progress towards CPA, CFA, or MBA.

    • Knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP reporting requirements.

    • Knowledge of relevant financial reporting and data analysis applications (Oracle general ledger, EFDW, Tableau, Power BI).

    Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $70,000 to $80,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
