    PGIM Private Capital:

    PGIM Private Capital (PPC) is the roughly $96 billion asset manager (as of 6/30/2022) within PGIM that invests in private corporate credit, primarily in the middle market, with strategies that include private fixed income (private placements), direct lending, corporate mezzanine, and energy mezzanine.

    Job Overview:

    As a member of the PPC Investor Relations and Business Development team, this person will play an important role in the development of investors for PPC’s Alternatives Strategies (Direct Lending, Corporate Mezzanine and Energy Mezzanine), including winning and onboarding new institutional investors, and extending the PGIM Private Capital brand to consultants and institutional investors, with a primary focus in North America.

    Principal Duties:

    • Develop relationships with potential PPC investors in the United States and Canada
    • Identify a targeted list of key investor consultants for our PPC strategies; develop and facilitate PPC relationships with these consultants
    • Identify opportunities for calling trips for PPC fund principals in North America; manage and participate in these trips
    • Attend important private debt conferences in North America and represent PPC
    • Interact with PGIM-wide investor sales and relationship team members, educating and encouraging other PGIM investor-facing team members to effectively present PPC’s fund offerings
    • Work with PGIM and PPC Marketing teams to build and expand branding and investor engagement
    • Drive creation, execution, and distribution of quarterly information reporting for existing and potential investors
    • Contribute to the creation of ESG strategy within the Alternatives Investor Relations Team
    • Contribute to the creation of marketing materials related to PPC and its Alternatives fund offerings
    • Responding to RFPs for investment manager mandates
    • Actively participate in responses to investor requests for information, fund performance, ESG strategy, etc. (interacting with other PPC groups as necessary)
    • Ensure adherence to all PGIM/PPC compliance guidelines in our distribution activities
    • Contribute to the onboarding of investors who subscribe to PPC funds
    • Learn PPC businesses by actively participating in committees, deal discussions, and strategy meetings 

    Background and Experience Required**:** 

    • A minimum of 5 years of institutional investment sales or business development, preferably with a focus on private credit or fixed income
    • Track record of building outstanding relationships with clients, investors, and intermediaries
    • Requires appropriate regulatory licenses including Series 7 and 63 licenses 
    • An advanced degree such as an MBA or a professional certification such as the CFA is a plus
    • Relationships with US pension funds, corporate pensions, and investment consultants is a plus  
    • Ability to conduct sales in a consultative manner, sharing thought leadership and innovative strategic solutions with potential clients.
    • Ability to engage in high level, advisory dialogue with existing and potential investors
    • Highly developed influencing and stakeholder management skills
    • Willingness and ability to travel
    • Organized and detail oriented with strong time management skills
    • A personal commitment to self-development, inclusion, integrity, and high ethical standards
