At Prudential, the role of the Quality Enablement Center (QEC) is to define and further the Quality Engineering discipline. Our goal is to engage and partner with the delivery teams on best practices, tools and standards. We want to make sure the teams are doing the right amount of testing, leveraging the correct set of tools before shipping their product to our customers. It is the mandate of the QEC to research the latest in tooling for each of the testing capabilities and work with various partners to introduce such tools to the Enterprise.
The Quality Enablement Center is seeking a ‘Quality Automation Engineer – Non-Functional Testing’ to drive the group’s vision and strategy, own the customer relationship and successfully lead the team towards the vision. The Quality Automation Engineer will research and recommend innovative ways to deliver solutions to complex challenges. The chosen candidate will be at the forefront, devising automation frameworks, while ensuring the solutions allow for integration with Prudential’s CI/CD pipelines. The Quality Automation Engineer is an executor as well as a visionary leader. This resource will become the face of QEC and will interface with key business and technology stakeholders, and therefore, exceptional verbal and written communication skills are desired. They will ensure the technical solutions are of high quality and are scalable, to meet the changing needs of the Enterprise.
The successful candidate must have deep technical domain and subject matter experience in the execution/operation of various testing practices. It is important that the resource is familiar with non-functional and functional testing and has working knowledge of key concepts, requirements and tooling. They should have an understanding of modern test automation approaches and how to successfully integrate test automation frameworks into a continuous delivery pipeline. They will look to standardize test automation frameworks and help create self-service automation capabilities. They will work collaboratively across Prudential and third-party vendors to deliver robust, technical solutions that support our customer’s success. As the Quality Automation Engineer, the person will ensure the QEC continues to offer its Business and Technology partners with best-in-class services.

Experience in using Docker and creating custom Docker container images.
DB performance testing and tuning experience.
Programming skills in Groovy and Python.
Experience in using InfluxDB, Grafana, Telegraf for performance test monitoring.
Regex and JSONpath expressions knowledge.
Knowledge of tools such as PyCharm, IntelliJ IDEA.
