Role Summary:

We are looking for a self-motivated experienced professional looking to build a rewarding career supporting our Financial Actuarial Investment Risk (FAIR) Audit Group. This position will be part of a core team that provides audit coverage for financial reporting, financial planning & analysis, corporate tax and product tax compliance activities, and Human Resources across the enterprise.

Beyond the standard skill set of analytical thinking and excellent verbal and written communication skills, this position calls for a highly enthusiastic individual who can actively participate in all aspects of the audit, including the planning, risk assessment, data analytics, control analysis, testing, issue development and reporting phases. This individual will be expected to engage in dialogue with business unit management and various control partners to identify and assess risks and controls. The Internal Audit Department, with over 300 employees globally, serves to protect the Company by improving the management of risks and the effectiveness of the control environment at the business, function and enterprise levels through valued independent assessments and advice on governance, risk and control. Our structure mirrors the business system, which allows us to view risks vertically and horizontally – providing opportunities to generate value within and across our businesses and corporate functions.

As a Senior Auditor within the FAIR Audit Group, you will work with other employees to deploy our audit approach to ensure adequate audit coverage of assigned businesses across Prudential. This role provides the opportunity to influence our approach and perform audits of key Prudential functions such Financial Management, Tax, Enterprise Risk Management, and the Chief Investment Office.

You have a strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess risk and evaluate controls. You are a self-motivated and intellectually curious person with the desire to grow your business/technical acumen to remain current on business developments, industry trends, emerging risks, and changes to the financial and regulatory environments. You have experience with data analytics and seek to build upon your knowledge of approaches and tools. You enjoy working independently and are productive in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3-6 years of combined experience in any of the following areas:

• Prior experience auditing and/or performing job functions in finance, tax, or risk management.
• Knowledge of Financial Reporting, FP&A, Domestic and International Corporate Taxation, Model Risk, US Generally Accepted Accounting (GAAP), Statutory (STAT) insurance accounting and Human Resources
• Strong ability to perform quantitative analysis over large sets of data.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
• Experience working effectively both independently as well as in a team environment.
• Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to effectively and confidently discuss audit topics and issues with management.
• Ability to partner effectively with management, external auditors and control partners.
• Prior experience in developing, using, testing and/or auditing models, end-user computing solutions and systems.
• Knowledge of capital and liquidity management, actuarial concepts, stress testing, corporate finance concepts, reinsurance, insurance company asset liability management is a plus. 
• Knowledge of the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) governance framework, the Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) act, risk assessment, control analysis or audit methodologies is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degrees in business, finance, accounting, or related fields are a plus.
• CPA, CIA, CISA or related certifications are a plus.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $89,900.00 to $133,900.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
