    Overview**:** 

    Prudential is seeking an exceptional leader to implement aggressive and transformational business outcomes as we begin executing on our vision to become a global leader in expanding access to investing, insurance, and retirement security. This role will support our Global Technology organization and U.S. Insurance & Retirement businesses which is composed of Retirement Strategies, Individual Life Insurance, Group Insurance, and Enabling Solutions. The desired candidate will have exceptional portfolio and program management skills and deep expertise in Agile and scaling methodologies in the context of a complex financial services organizations. The successful candidate will possess a high degree of emotional intelligence and business acumen and a proven record in in driving bold business outcomes while epitomizing a servant leadership mindset. 

    In a traditional Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) model this role would be equivalent to a Solution Train Engineer. In partnership with leaders across the Enterprise, you will help establish, launch and lead multiple (4+) Agile Release Trains (ARTs) (~40 teams) in a period of enormous change and excitement for Prudential.

    Responsibilities**:** 

    This VP, Agile Execution & Implementation, working closely with the USIR Portfolio Engineer, Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Chief Product Owners (CPOs), Senior Solution Engineers (Solution Architects) and Enterprise partners will have day to day accountabilities which will include:

    • Lead the strategic and tactical execution of multiple ARTs across the USIR Portfolio
    • Manage the flow of value for multiple ARTs using tools including Jira and Jira Align, while also supporting reporting for key constituents.
    • Ensure strategy alignment and execution
    • Manage risks and dependencies; support the tracking, solving and escalation of impediments by the ARTs
    • Track execution of features and developing metrics to inform data-driven decision making
    • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners (e.g. business partners, control partners, vendors, clients, consultants, industry groups) to ensure maximum effective use of talent; facilitate provisioning of talent based on business needs, budgets, capacity, and skillsets
    • Interact and partner closely with and between technical (USIR, Chief Technology Office, Chief Data Office, and Chief Operating Office teams) and business leaders, including functional Senior Leadership Teams, providing a blend of tactical and strategic leadership and coaching relevant to execution and implementation, while also ensuring dependency alignment
    • Work to find synergies between teams and initiatives
    • Make complex judgments, often with a high degree of autonomy
    • Negotiate business and technical deliverables and influence related outcomes
    • Formal people leadership accountability, primary for a highly skilled team of mature RTEs

    Qualifications**:** 

    • 12 to 20+ years of relevant and progressive experience in portfolio and program management
    • 5 to 10+ years of experience in Agile delivery and implementation at scale ie SAFe®, preferably in the financial services industry
    • Experienced leader with ability to develop talent and successfully lead through times of change
    • Excellent collaboration skills with ability to work effectively across the organization and influence a diverse set of stakeholders
    • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to translate complex topics into easily digestible messages
    • Exhibits strategic thinking capabilities, problem solving skills, strong execution, collaborative facilitation abilities, and excellent analytical skills.  
    • Agile and organized, structure-oriented individual with ability to appropriately prioritize and juggle competing deliverables
    • Ability to proactively anticipate issues, provide recommendations, and communicate key issues at the right level at the right time 
    • Ability to drive results in a highly matrixed environment where relationships are paramount with ability to synthesize a lot of information, and simplify into actionable decision points 
    • Fosters an environment to identify opportunities to leverage technology to complete tasks more efficiently and effectively 
    • Ability to apply knowledge of Company objectives, key business drivers and financial acumen to evaluate performance and contribute to efficiencies and strategic decision-making

    Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $181,100.00 to $245,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
