Job Description
The primary roles and responsibility for Sr Manager QE includes designing architecture for test systems, test automation, tools and frameworks, test delivery, client management, team leadership and development, and business development.
This role typically consists of leading teams in delivering integrated client test solutions. Sr manager role primarily entails managing the testing for client while providing direction. This role is completely hands on automation frameworks, solutions while providing guidance to automation team on the other hand.
Qualifications
Hands on in designing, developing Test Automation frameworks using Open Source, Commercial Tools. Coming up with Automation framework strategy at Enterprise level applications.
Following experience on tools/technologies is desired.
Test tools – Selenium, Appium, Test Complete (Optional)
Test Frameworks – Experience of designing and implementing BDD Cucumber, Page Object Model, Hybrid automation frameworks for Web , API and mobile testing
Devops – Jenkins, Docker, SonarQube (exposure)
Mobile Automation, Services Automation, Database Automation (exposure)
Cross Browsers, Device Testing Strategy using Cloud Platforms like Sauce Labs or BrowserStack
Test Management – HP ALM (QC), Zephyr, TestRail, JIRA
Technologies – Proficient in 1 programming language, Java preferred, and have understanding of HTML, CSS, Windows, Mac, Linux, Oracle, MS SQL, Server, Mango DB, ETL
Performance Tools – JMeter, Load Runner
Security testing: Any open source in Security Burpsuite, Zaproxy or Commercial IBM Appscan etc.
Accessibility testing : Any open source Accessibility tools WAT, WAVE, HTML validator etc...and commercial like JAWS, NVDA etc...
Should have hands on experience in Automation using Selenium with Java
Should have experience in leading a large, distributed team in an Agile environment
Hands on experience in designing Hybrid Automation Frameworks
Should have technical exposure in API/Web-services testing using Postman and RestAssured
Be able to review both manual and automation test cases and provide constructive feedback Should have proven skills in designing and implementing the Shift-Left test strategy
Should have good knowledge of Test management tools like Jira, Zephyr, etc.
Strong technical skills, both functional and non-functional, manual and automation
Excellent communicator, influencing skills, and negotiation skills to get management buy-in on ideas and concepts
Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to communicate with all levels of management and peers within the organization (especially with clients)
Providing leadership building and maintaining relationships
