    Position summary

    A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You’ll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud. Our Internal Tax team provides internal services related to financial services, treasury and taxation. As part of our team, you’ll help the team provide a full range of taxation services to PwC related to complex financial reporting, cost management, tax planning, investment management and transaction processing.

    Within Finance, the Cross Border Engagement Services team helps US engagement teams & member firms, identify and manage risks arising from cross border engagements. Scope includes consulting on pricing, immigration, contract set-up, taxes, security, name rights, and other compliance-related issues. As a Manager, you'll work with team members to support engagement teams and international business travelers who travel across borders as part of their employment with PwC US.

    Minimum Degree Required:
    High School Diploma

    Minimum Years of Experience:
    4 year(s) experience with cross border/international tax issues.

    Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

    Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader:

    • Comprehending cross border tax concepts around permanent establishment, individual tax and tax treaty application; 

    • Demonstrating knowledge of, and success in linking and integrating the areas of immigration, tax, and/or cross-border operations for a global network of professional services firms;

    • Applying this knowledge and understanding of the firms cross-border operations and policies to advise engagement teams;

    • Working with senior team members to consult with engagement teams to mitigate cross border risks by creating accurate technical advice based on relevant facts & circumstances;

    • Utilizing advanced analytical skills to apply policies to a myriad of cross-border scenarios; 

    • Managing cross border consultations and inquiries through internal workflow tools;

    • Interacting with management/leaders to resolve issues and proactively report potential issues; 

    • Researching and analyzing pertinent technical matters; 

    • Delivering work project quality with minimal revisions that satisfy requirements consistently;

    • Possessing problem solving skills with attention to detail, coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously and working independently with minimal supervision; 

    • Working cohesively as part of a team; 

    • Building solid relationships with partners, managers, staff members, and other Firm's Finance groups; 

    • Keeping leadership informed of progress and issues; and,

    • Possessing extensive abilities to write, communicate, facilitate, and present cogently; to and/or for all levels of industry audiences, clients and internal staff and management.
