General Summary:

Qualcomm is the leading hardware/software provider for mobile AR/VR platforms.  Qualcomm’s Corporate Engineering team in Bangalore is increasing its contribution to the XR Reference Design program to help drive the XR industry forward.  We are seeking a software engineer with expertise in Android and Unity Application development who will enable developers to build next generation mobile XR platforms.  We are seeking a creative, self-motivated problem-solver with a passion for creating great VR/AR Applications.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• C /C++,C# and JAVA programming skills and a good understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms
• Object Oriented Design and Programming
• Android Software Development
• Debugging skills in C#,C/C++ and Java using debugging tools like GNU tools or Android Studio
• Ability to closely collaborate with product owners and domain/technology experts to integrate/validate software in a larger system
• Ability to analyze functional and performance issues in different software environments and on hardware
• Experience using Unity and/or Unreal development environments
• Testing and debugging on mobile platforms and other embedded systems

Additional skills in the following areas are preferred:

• Experience with VR/AR platform and SDK development on Android or Windows or Linux
• Experience with Java-JNI, Inter-Process Communication and Gradle.
• Experience using git for development; patch/tree management
• ARM processors and/or embedded software development on mobile devices
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
• Independent and motivated problem solver

Minimum Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C#,C, C++, Java etc.
• 3+ years of experience with Android, Unity and XR domain
• 3+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above). ,3+ years experience working in a large matrixed organization. ,3+ years experience with API. ,3+ years experience with Database Management Software. ,6+ years Software Engineering or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Domain knowledge in XR (AR/VR/MR), computer vision, image/video processing algorithms
• Prior experience with Qualcomm Snapdragon platform
• experience Unity and XR domain

Education requirements

B.E. or B.Tech. in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Software Engineering/Computer Engineering or equivalent.

Mathematical Methods/Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Software Solutions
