General Summary:

Qualcomm Global SoC Machine Learning Research team is actively seeking candidates for several positions for developing EDA/VLSI Algorithms and Machine Learning. Qualcomm Global SoC Machine Learning Research team in Bangalore is part of a worldwide team responsible for developing Machine Learning based EDA solutions for VLSI which help Qualcomm create chips that deliver the best Power, Performance and Area. The ideal candidate has a background in VLSI tools development, has worked on scripting and data analysis of VLSI datasets and has been involved in flow testing and automation. The person should have a strong interest in applying Machine Learning to CAD.

Description:

• Understand the RTL2GDS flow and build scripts and software for data analysis.
• Design and develop software implementations of CAD algorithms and tools.
• Implementation of test automation of unit and system level testing of CAD algorithms and tools.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Understanding of VLSI design process. Familiarity with tools used in critical design steps such as Verification, Static Timing Analysis, Placement or Routing.
• Familiarity with commercial EDA tools like Innovus, Fusion Compiler, PrimeTime, RedHawk or
• Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Python, C++, TCL, Shell Scripting
• Ability to build Software Architecture, Data Structures
• Static Analysis, unit testing, end-to-end testing, regression testing, continuous integration

• UI/front end (python tkinter, web front ends)
• Parallelization, Multiprocessing, Accelerators (e.g., OpenMP, CUDA)
• databases, file systems, operating systems, HPC (LSF)
• Understanding of Machine Learning
• familiarity with DevOps, ML-Ops
• conda, docker/singularity environments
• git, gitlab, jira
