We are looking for motivated Software Engineers to join the Qualcomm Infrastructure Wi-Fi Connectivity group, to be part of defining the next generation WLAN products. As part of this group, you will be responsible for:

• Software architecture and design for WLAN features in embedded platforms
• Work with the Opensource community and upstream the ath12k driver changes to the Linux kernel.org
• Working with multiple cross-functional driver teams in feature architecture, defining kernel/user software interfaces
• Work with connectivity technologies (Ethernet, Wi-Fi - 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be, Bluetooth etc.)
• Work with the largest Wi-Fi AP vendors in the world to develop and launch tomorrow’s next-gen Wi-Fi products
• Knowledge of wired/wireless technologies and IP networking is highly desirable, but not necessary

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or related field. Preferred MS in Computer Engineering/Science or Electrical Engineering
• 3+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++
• Exposure or experience working with Networking protocols/Embedded Systems

Other preferred qualifications:

Experience with the one or more of the following

• C and C++ programming skills
• Device Drivers, Embedded Software
• Networking drivers and protocol stacks
• Multi-threading and Linux kernel internals

Pay range:

$121,000.00 - $181,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.  We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).  In addition, our highly competitive benefits package is designed to support your success at work, at home, and at play.
