    General Summary:

    The role will initially focus on the supply chain, logistics, and retail verticals globally through direct executive engagement with Large Enterprise accounts as well as leveraging OEM, carrier, and channel partners to drive scale and help build new business models for Qualcomm.
     
    The Senior Manager of the Aware Hardware Ecosystem Program will be responsible for driving and growing the Qualcomm Aware Platform, a newly formed PAAS and SAAS business within Qualcomm, by creating a hardware ecosystem of tracker and monitoring devices to begin, but expanding to address devices across retail, energy/utility and manufacturing segments.  In this role, you will help to ensure that a diversity of hardware devices are available for use with the Qualcomm Aware Platform, and that there is a strong channel of module, ODM and OEM partners working to constantly expand the size of our global ecosystem.
     

    To summarize, in this position you will be responsible for: 

    • Developing and implementing the overall hardware partner program and scaling strategy;
    • Building, managing, and developing module, ODM and OEM relationships to enable a strong ecosystem of Aware-enabled devices;
    • Designing, developing and deploying channel incentive programs that ensure our partners are appropriately compensated and encouraged to assist Qualcomm in the growth of the Qualcomm Aware Platform;
    • Creating and maintaining a general hardware partner platform that is easy to use for Qualcomm customers and that delivers clear options for devices to meet a wide variety of needs across numerous verticals and use cases
    • Engaging with direct end customers (Fortune 1000 & Global 2000) to understand hardware needs and ensure the Hardware Partner Ecosystem is addressing those needs;
    • Partnering with product and business teams to drive requirements that will enable the growth and development of a strong Hardware Partner Ecosystem;
    • Working with sales teams to educate them on the Hardware Partner Ecosystem and options for customer deployments; and
    • Hosting briefings and events for Line of Business, IT, and OT executives at San Diego headquarters and in territory 

    While San Diego or the Bay Area are preferred locations, a remote work location can be considered for the right candidate.

    Pending ongoing COVID guidelines, travel expectations within the respective territory will be approximately 25%.

    Minimum Qualifications  

    • Bachelors degree in technology or business 
    • 5+ years in business development, product marketing, sales or product management 

    Preferred Qualifications  

    • 10+ years in product marketing, sales or product management 
    • Masters degree in business or technology preferred 
    • Enterprise account management expertise, the ability to manage change and the desire to operate effectively across organizations and customers 
    • Deep knowledge and experience in building complex SAAS and PAAS partner programs that will create win-win situations for Qualcomm, our customers and our partners 
    • Experience in developing IoT platform partnerships and/or partner programs
    • Ability to successfully navigate inherent challenges/obstacles of new product adoption, and demonstrated experience in working to develop partner programs  
    • Ability to communicate, educate and evangelize both internally & externally 
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
    • Creative problem solving with strong analytical skills 
    • Ability to manage a large territory for customer acquisition and account management, while prioritizing resources and efforts to maximize sales results 
    • A challenger mindset is a plus

    Pay range:

    $173,000.00 - $260,000.00

    The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.  We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).  In addition, our highly competitive benefits package is designed to support your success at work, at home, and at play.
