    General Summary:

    The Tax Analyst will be reporting to the Tax Manager. This individual will primarily support all Singapore operations of Qualcomm’s RF360 business. He/she will work closely with the local tax, finance and controlling teams in helping to ensure the running of business operations and obtaining relevant information for tax reporting.

    Principal Duties & Responsibilities

    • Preparation of tax provision, accounting and related financial statement disclosure in compliance with both USGAAP and local GAAP.
    • Preparation of income tax and GST returns and ensure timely submission including any withholding tax and permanent establishment requirements, including working with external service providers and internal shared service centres as needed.
    • Managing tax incentive programs with close monitoring to ensure that the Company is able to maintain the tax incentives.
    • Work with service providers to handle tax queries raised by the Comptroller of Income Tax.
    • Work with service providers on transfer pricing documentation and requirements including providing details of related party transactions.
    • Partner with key business stakeholders both in region and globally to effectively support the business with operational tax support on all transactions and go-to-market.
    • Research and stay up to date with current and developing tax topics in Singapore or internationally that may impact the RF360 business. Risk assess such changes and communicate with broader tax team.
    • Other ad-hoc projects that may be assigned (e.g. robotic process automation, restructuring).

    Required Competencies

    • Strong technical knowledge and experience with tax law and regulations in Singapore.
    • Good technical knowledge in accounting standards covering both USGAAP and local GAAP.
    • Ability to work with auditors and tax agencies.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills: able to clearly communicate and present complex information in an easy-to-understand manner; able to deliver messages effectively verbally and in writing to stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of SAP system preferred.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Qualified Accountant, or equivalent degree specializing in accountancy or taxation with relevant experience.
    • At least 3-5 years of tax experience in Public Accounting firm or relevant industry experience.
    • Working knowledge of tax compliance for incentivised company is a plus.
    • Team player.
