General Summary:

The Windows Platform Test team is looking for highly motivated and committed software test engineer to participate in integration and power stress testing to support customer enablement on Qualcomm Snapdragon Compute projects.  The candidate will have strong technical acumen, a background in system testing, and problem-solving abilities to isolate and identify failure root cause. The candidate will work with a committed team of cross-functional engineers to commercialize exciting new features to aid Qualcomm’s expansion in this strategic business unit.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Preferred Skills/experience:

• Technical problem solving and debugging ability
• Experience developing and creating test plans
• Proficient in Python programming or other scripting language
• Familiarity with the fundamentals of the Window OS architecture (drivers, firmware)
• Good written and verbal communications skills
• Self-starter and problem solver who is creative, enthusiastic, collaborative, and innovative with debugging and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI

Responsibilities:

• Working with system integration engineers to enable software updates on QC and customer platforms
• Execute designated test content on integration builds and triage failures and work across teams to rapidly drive resolution
• Produce test reports and represent status in peer and management meetings
• Troubleshoot test automation as necessary
• Gain broad understanding of the Qualcomm driver and firmware family and internal/customer hardware
• Documents systems-level defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to developers.

Pay range:

$83,000.00 - $125,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
